Ootsuchi Town's new animation "Ootsuchi Cho Kagura Daihammer" released! <Ootsuchi Town> | Iwate Sanriku Tourist Guide (sanriku-travel.jp)

A new animated video, “Otsuchi Cho Kagura Daihammer,” produced in collaboration with the Sanriku ❤️ Otsuchi PR Ambassadors and the citizens of Otsuchi town, was released on the Otsuchi Town Tourism Association YouTube channel on May 7th!...

It is an anime a Japanese town made (commissioned?) to promote itself, the whole episode is on Youtube.

I wasn’t sure whether it was a joke or not at first but it turns out it is a real town in Iwate prefecture. I hope no one gets the idea that they really have a super robot as Guardian Angel after watching it though 🤣

The animation is not bad and is the length of a full episode, and it has famous seiyuu voices, notably Takayama Minami (of Detective Conan fame) as the main character. Usatsuka Eiji (illustrator of Zero no Tsukaima) is credited as one of the authors.

Detective Conan Author Gosho Aoyama's YAIBA Manga Receives New Anime Adaptation (www.crunchyroll.com)

A new anime adaptation of Case Closed/Detective Conan author Gosho Aoyama’s YAIBA manga is now in the works, following the official announcement from Weekly Shonen Sunday. The news was revealed in this year’s latest 24th issue of Shogakukan’s magazine, which is available Japanese stores today.

1Fuji2Taka3Nasubi,

This news is about Aoyama-sensei’s other manga, named YAIBA, not Detective Conan. YAIBA had an anime adaptation which finished 30 years ago.

1Fuji2Taka3Nasubi,

The cable one is just a regular SATA connector, since SAS HBAs can also control SATA drives (but not vice versa).

I believe the connector you are looking for is called SFF-8482. It is available in backplane and cable versions.

1Fuji2Taka3Nasubi,

The spinoff that got an anime was Tensura Nikki aka The Slime Diaries.

The protagonist of Monster Nation, Framea, actually has a cameo in Diaries manga, I forgot whether she made it to the anime or not.

1Fuji2Taka3Nasubi,

A shame indeed.

Interesting tidbit: This is the only spinoff manga published by Micro Magazine, the publisher of Slime’s novels. The rest including the main one are all published by Kodansha.

1Fuji2Taka3Nasubi,

The equivalent of SAS expanders for SATA are called port multipliers, and the JMS562 chip in the picture can act as one (as well as becoming a sort of RAID controller).

1Fuji2Taka3Nasubi,

OP should be looking at backup before considering RAID anyway, because RAID is not backup.

1Fuji2Taka3Nasubi,

Disclaimer: this is not from experience so perhaps someone who do run servers with USB HDDs can comment on long term stability of USB as an interface.

Technically speaking, even USB 3 gen 1 (5Gb/s (gigabits per sec)) is far more than enough to saturate a broadband connection (probably under 1Gb/s). Assuming you’re going to use mechanical HDDs, best case they can transfer around 200MB/s (that’s megabytes per sec)), so no problem there either.

You might want to use external 3.5 inch HDDs as they have separate power supplies (less picky on power supplied from USB) and are much more likely to be CMR (which performs better than SMR, best if you check the specific model’s spec to make sure it is CMR) than 2.5 inch ones.

1Fuji2Taka3Nasubi,

Rikka is getting a good start, I found out an episode has aired by seeing a discussion thread posted. Thanks for the good work.

1Fuji2Taka3Nasubi,

He made the magnitude of a negative number bigger, and bigger is always better, right?

1Fuji2Taka3Nasubi,

We should have known there was something off about that elf when he was not on each painting in ep 6 but showed up inside, and he remembered Laios across them (and here).

He was looking for his king. If you do not remember what happened, go back and check out the legend at the very beginning of ep 1. This will not end well.

1Fuji2Taka3Nasubi,

That was hilarious. Wonder if it had any effect on the dragon meat that were eaten and digested?
