Last time I checked, wonderlands endgame was terrible. Huge lack of dedicated drops, stupid rare drop chances for anything decent, and like 100 chaos chambers. Borderlands 1 is punishing when you're underleveled and you need to be diligent with sidequests to avoid being underleveled at all times. Abusing a glitch with the Merchant of Death challenge allows you to get 20k XP on demand which is a significant chunk until the late game and can be used throughout the playthrough if done...

For me it has to be Felicity in the PreSequel because of all the build up to it and the sense of hopelessness of it all. Can’t think of one that gets me as invested in the outcome as that one. Maybe the Nakayama in BL2 DLC but for different reasons.
