Blisterexe,

Literally every teenager at my school uses Instagram, kids do use Instagram still

Blisterexe,

You could use a matrix bridge (matrix.org/ecosystem/bridges) or use KDE connect

Note: these solutions assume you have a phone

Blisterexe,

Sandisk ones are the gold standard as far as I could find

Blisterexe, (edited )

Its only car routes though, useless for footpaths and public transport

Edit: I may be stupid

Blisterexe,

Opt-in telemetry is useless telemetry, they make it opt-out because its the only way to get representative numbers

Blisterexe,

This looks fine, the browser just puts your search into a category like “health” or “tech”, then sends the amount of each category completely anonymously.

Also, if you’ve opted out of data collection already that setting applies to this too.

Blisterexe,

I have not seen a single case where advanced users have the same opinions as the average one

Blisterexe,

This is the best take so far, I totally agree

Microsoft is testing Game Pass ads on the Windows 11 Settings homepage (www.ghacks.net)

Microsoft’s announcement: “We are introducing a new Game Pass recommendation card on the Settings homepage. The Game Pass recommendation card on Settings Homepage will be shown to you if you actively play games on your PC. As a reminder – the Settings homepage will be shown only on the Home and Pro editions of Windows 11...

Blisterexe,

Yeah they’ll just show you ads for individual games if you have gamepass.

Also I can answer any questions you have about Linux, if you do want to switch

Blisterexe,

If you want I can walk you through installing/getting ready for linux, it’s genuinely incredibly easy now.

There is conflicting gobbledygook online for the simple reason that people like to try and find their ideal setup

Blisterexe,

not a fan of brave as a company, but their ai search does that.

Blisterexe,

Its a new feature in KDE 6, are you using KDE 6?

Blisterexe,

Try invoking krunner then clicking the settings icon next to the search bar, it should be there

Blisterexe,

I see, you could edit the .desktop file of the firewall app to remove the word fire from its name and search terms

Blisterexe,

The reason I wrote its and not it’s is that I was too lazy to correct it

Blisterexe,

For those wondering it is a linux-first software, and works better on there

Blisterexe,

Parabolic does the same thing better

Blisterexe,

Basically the way sudo and doas work is that they turn your current session into a privileged one, then run the command, then put your session back the way it was, this can cause security issues. The way run0 works is that it just asks systemd to do it for you, removing those security risks.

At least thats the way I understand it, im not an expert

Blisterexe,

Do you use the steam deck as a controller for your PC using steam link?
