Marty_TF,

I am very glad that most my mail stuff still goes through other providers, but I do use my domain’s mail for purposes related to my server and its services, and wow, this is unnerving…

What radicalized you?

Assuming you're an anarchist or otherwise leftist radical, what radicalized your position?

For me it was a combination of seeing the rampart corruption of the Greek state and the sloth and hypocrisy of the KKE in my own family. Then afterwards it was the alienation of my own wage-slavery.

Remember to care for your opsec when answering.

Marty_TF,

when I was in 3rd grade, I had a gifted test, where after I flawlessly cleared 11th grade math, it was decided that I may go to a math gifted school. if my single mom can afford it. she couldn’t. I proceeded to develop type 2 bipolar disorder in 6 years of getting bullied bcs my classmates found out my mom couldn’t afford it. any capacity my brain had to learn has gone completely and I struggle with learning anything at all. now I have to live my life knowing that I had a natural talent for absolute greatness that could benefit all but this society of empowering the strong, and keeping the weak down, has drained any and all of it. but hey, of course I’m the weird guy for saying our priorisation of money over the benefit of all is bad.

Marty_TF,

mostly just to send websites I find while on mobile to my PC so I can properly read/interact with them on my PC

Marty_TF,

Marty_TF,

i selfhost navidrome and use feishin on linux desktop, and symfonium on mobile.

Do you take pictures with GPS tags on?

Hiya, so quickly wondering wether you have enabled this or not. Obviously it’s not great for privacy, but it also seems very nice to have for image cloud solutions, so that images can be sorted based on location. Are there any good solutions for this? I’d like have it enabled, but also afraid of sharing images with sensitive...

Marty_TF,

i do, and together with nextcloud’s map application you get a full view of which image was taken where.

just feels really cool after a half decade to have so many pictures so far away, all at one glance.

also, in the current age of large machine learning models, it is scarily easy to use one of these to guess the location. it’s like the colkective hive mind of geoguesser players working together, so if one really wants to find ur location based on ur pictures, they really dont even need the metadata anymore

Marty_TF,

yeah i did. built a sand castle underwater with someone i really like and the water we breathed tasted like honey and cherry

Marty_TF,

minecraft and team fortress 2 for 3 years.

end of list.

Marty_TF,

ausbau und erhalt der fahrrad-infrastruktur im haushaltsplan 2023>2024: 550mil > 350mil

wie gut dass wir stattdessen city-helikopter bekommen.

Marty_TF,

a tumblr meme about replacing self deprecating humor with over the top self belief humor.

not even kidding, was doomscrolling, this jumped into my feed and burnt itself into my brain and 4 years of doing precisely that later, i’m better than ever and it’s also just a way to break the ice sometimes.

Marty_TF,

when you don’t know something, saying shit like “despite my infinite wisdom, this eludes me” instead of “sorry i just dont know”

just stuff that stands out, gets a chuckle off of people, but is so obviously exaggerated that people know you don’t actually believe that you are infinitely wise.

and the greatest thing is that after a while you also incorporate these phrases when talking about/to others, so when you need help or something, you ask for their infinite wisdom.

(sry for the late answer im not used to getting interactions on social media lol)

Marty_TF,

fly to america and piss on ronald reagan’s grave.

it’s 1 of my 3 bucket list items and i’ve already done the other 2

Marty_TF,
  • create full digital autonomy, destroy any and all entries to ads and trackers on a system level for my flat (basically, live a life of no digital annoyances, and once we nuke the world wide web be able to live without internet access and not miss a thing)
  • get a merge request accepted

yeah i know, pretty anticlimactic.

i am considering adding large scale industrial sabotage at alphabet or blackrock as a forth item tho

Marty_TF,

Marty_TF,

code: null, nada, nothing. dunno how issues: maybe 30 in 9 years using gnu/linux money: 1% of my income for 5 years now, to whatever project i find cool, mostly smaller ones tho

Marty_TF,

at its peak (which lasted for months), covid killed more people daily than 9/11 did, and noone cared.

so the question is more about whether people blow up some highrise buildings that will cause chaos and despair.

Marty_TF,

btop and zfxtop are rather fancy, maybe they might be what ur looking for

Marty_TF,

they are selling it to countries which then sell it to europe so we just pay more for the same thing but can be happy we do definitely not fund the russian invasion :D :D :D

Marty_TF,

im a gardener. some apprentice who has never owned a computer, not bcs they couldnt afford it, but bcs due to mobile phones there simply is no need for it, asked me how to shut down a computer. not kidding. it wasnt even some obscure gnu/linux distro, it was bog-standard windows 10.

Marty_TF,

11 days 3 hours. i did write a script that suspends the pc to memory and rtcwake at a specified time, as basically my alarm clock. and during work, its suspended to disk. so, of those 11 days its been properly running for maybe 2 days.

Marty_TF,

I’d like to have an /asklemmy about how this question occupied your brain so much that you put in the effort to type it out.

Marty_TF,

I use Obsidian.md, which starts as a note-taking app, but can end up as a whole knowlegde base. It has a built in core plugin for daily notes, but the plugin ecosphere will allow you to go way beyond that. It is free, however the built-in syncing is a subscription. You can just set up and use any sync service you want, it even has approved plugins for that, as the subscription is basically just a donation.

There is an open-source alternative called logseq, available on fdroid, i dipped my toes into that one for a while, but the plugins on obsidian like dataview and templater are just invaluable.

Marty_TF,

ngl this looks very impressive ootb, however, i rely on dataview a lot, basically my entire work orga is done through various datasets integrated directly into my daily journaling. instead of having to keep track of every item i did/got for a project to calculate together at the end, i just throw everything into a dataview table and thats it. yes, there are apps more suited for this but obsidian just does everything i need more than just good enough. thanks for the rec tho, will keep an eye on it. (it’s now the 4th obsidian alternative im checking out regularily lmao)
