Windows 11 Start menu ads are now rolling out to everyone (www.theverge.com)

Microsoft is starting to enable ads inside the Start menu on Windows 11 for all users. After testing these briefly with Windows Insiders earlier this month, Microsoft has started to distribute update KB5036980 to Windows 11 users this week, which includes “recommendations” for apps from the Microsoft Store in the Start menu....

Try doing professional level photo editing on Linux

I can be on a tirade about this. If only Krita decided to expand their focus instead of being conservative about their goals, or if GIMP actually had competent people years ago. But, now I’m at a point where I just don’t give a damn about FOSS editing, and fine with let it all burn.

My try with GIMP is that I find that the interface is clunky, and the absence of non-destructive editing, and it’s nowhere near the level of Krita/PS at a mechanical level. I tried the version with NDE in GIMP, but I just hate the flow and I find the absence of ease of access to filter as well as lack of inherent mask a issue. So, I’ll stick with Krita instead, and it works out for my needs, but I’m not fully satisfied unless I have better selection tools in there.

What about people who needs NURBS tools and Affinity/Adobe class art softwares? Where do they go that corporations decided Windows and Mac are only to be supported? And believe me, plenty of them hates Windoze and I’m one of them.

My issue is more Rhino and Solidworks. If Blender actually can render NURBS and retesselate from NURBS to polygon, I can pretty much ditch Autodesk Maya as that’s the only reason I use Autodesk Maya.

Solidworks/Rhino probably can work under VM, but I don’t know.

Really big news! There is a possibility of lost modules for Ultimate Ride games to be retrieved again!

Now, a former member of ModsToTheMax has said that he might have archives of ModsToTheMax modules for Ultimate Ride. That’s big news because he has hosted files outside of ModsToTheMax, but Wayback Machine never actually managed to store them, and there’s a possibility that he may have it right now....

The census from what I see is that people here don’t like Biden. But, like most uncommitted, it’s very likely they’ll vote Biden for harm reduction. I don’t know why you’re being down-voted for that though.

At the end of the day, you’re correct that Biden has to be voted in again, and the downballot is more crucial.

Probably standards have changed within generations. Now, we’re at a point where younger people feel free to criticize their own military. There are people who hates US military back when Iraq War was a thing that has a beef with IDF. It’s more sympathy toward people that did not sign up for combat, and acknowledging that engagement should ever be between combatants. Older people simply don’t understand that yet.

This. The issue in that region is bad actors making it harder on those that just want to live in peace. Middle East has to be babysitted by America, because the alternative hurts those that just want peace more.

Depends. If they’re doing it for giving aid to Ukraine, and keeping the government up, I’d be for keeping Johnson. Until he’s no longer useful.

What’s bad news for the GOP is good news for United States of America and its allies.

I think militarized occupation enforcing two states solution along with a long trial of investigation to put the problematic actors behind bars is long overdue. The settlers, and groups like Hamas both needs to be addressed (in separate manners, but still a loss). And Israel should be prepared to throw the settlers under the bus as they do more harms to the state of Israel.

A lot of uncommitted voters are going to vote for Biden out of harm reduction. They might vote against AIPAC-endorsed candidates if they only have Democrats in their ballots. I know I would, but if there is a Republican, I’d have to vote for an AIPAC-endorsed democrat.

Liberal? But, definitely to the left of Netanyahu, and that’s a better step. If only Israel dumps the settlers with no protection, that’s my biggest beef with Israel.

Am I aware of this? Yes. However, there are lines of when support just isn’t tenable. We seen that Iraq and Afghanistan. If you’re trying to get Millenials/Gen Z to support Israel, that can only happen with policy changes. On my end, it’s getting rid of settlers and actually punishing those that supported settlers.
