Context, I’ve got some web dev experience but it’s all self taught from enjoying it as a hobby. Personally, the design aspect is probably worse for me....

There are so many out there, with varying benefits, risks, and ethics. I’d like to know what to recommend when asked, and also what I could use for myself....

If I recall correctly the maximum Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) for earplugs and earmuffs is around 30db. You can combine the two for a slight increase in hearing protection but you still hit a limit because of bone vibration....

Edit: while I’m at it, does anyone know what I should do when I’m waiting for a coincidence/adventure to happen, but it never comes? I can’t really go outside and arrange for it to happen because I don’t know what I’m looking for.

I’ve been going through updating all of my accounts (passwords, 2FA, etc.), and I’ve noticed that there are a lot of sites that don’t offer any form of MFA....

If so, does that mean people actually remember a persons name & face after only one encounter?!...

In reddit if you want to create a new account with all the subscribed subreddit, we had to just “old.reddit.com/subreddits/mine” and right click copy the “multireddit of your subscriptions” to get all of it to new account with list to join or leave. Is there a similar function in lemmy?

I am a plebe who doesn’t understand these things but what exactly does cloudflare do? I see it popping up more and more often redirecting before visiting a site. I assume that this has something to do with bot traffic? It seems like every mention of cloudflare is about how it ruined someone’s day.

For some reason this happens to me, but only with Orbit. At least the watermelon ones (I prefer chewing gums that leave minimum taste), I don’t know about others. It just turns into a disgusting paste.
