Thank you. Between our lower outlet voltage and my strong aversion to taking up unnecessary kitchen real estate, I’ve never seen value in an electric kettle.
Now to get back to the British/American animosity, I rarely drink tea. I use my kettle to heat water for coffee in the French press.
I do enjoy a good herbal in the winter months, but something like Earl Gray is a rare occasion for me.
I’ve heard that about tea but have admittedly never had or even seen the good stuff. I had some high end teas in Asia, but they were a different genre.
It takes congressional impeachment to bring any consequences whatsoever, right? So basically it’s impossible for them to suffer anything. Of course they’re throwing the middle finger.
Thomas looks like he enjoys a good cheese hamberder or twelve, so that’s pretty much the only thing that will stop him.
I’m sure my boss will understand that I can’t make him a dollar today because Texas said not to drive.
I have nothing in walking distance. Not even a convenience store.
So you could ask me to not take a road trip or to reduce the number of trips I take in my car today, but avoiding the car entirely isn’t physically possible.
So the prosecuting attorney of all people is all like, “yeah, I’m pretty sure I fucked that up,” and the governor is all like, “nah bro. I’ve already got my killing poor black people pants put on and unzipped. I’m rubbing this one out no matter what.”
Why are there angry European posts and comments on this every freaking day as if each and every one of us who live under the American system of weights and measurements are personally responsible for implementing and keeping the system?
I’m comfortable in either format.
It doesn’t chafe my balls to talk in metric or to see signs or containers in metric. Why does every god damned European feel like they’re missing out on diaper powder every time an American talks about miles or fahrenheit?
Who hurt you? What damage does this really cause you?
Are there no other fucking issues that matter? We’re gonna blow this whole fucking planet up if Jim Bob in Missouri doesn’t start talking in liters God damnit!
I’ve been to punk rock bowling in Vegas I think four times. One constant is that any hint of Nazi bullshit will get immediately and enthusiastically trampled.
Every once in a blue moon, I will slam my left foot into an empty space on the floor.
The brake is a right foot pedal, and I’m not sure what models others are speaking of when they say automatic brake pedals are wider. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that.
I think it’s been over twenty years since I’ve driven a manual transmission. I wonder if I could still do it. In my younger years when such cars were still common, it was second nature, but here 'murca, it’s tough to even find one if you want one anymore.

The only reason I keep Spotify anymore is that I’ve got a family plan with something like six accounts. I gave those to random acquaintances back in the Facebook days - people who are really into music.
If I cancel Spotify, there are five people out there who are suddenly and without warning going to find themselves without music.
I really don’t even remember who they are, but I feel like continuing the subscription is my community service

I enjoy how the party of law and order just wants to consistently ignore laws and order and demands immediate imprisonment of anybody who makes them look bad. It’s been going on for years, but its intensity since Cheeto diapers came around has increased exponentially.

“Along with their anger about abortion, they grouse about not being allowed to punish students “for being homosexual or transgender.” They also argue they should be able to penalize teaching assistants for “cross-dressing,” by which they appear to mean allowing trans women to wear skirts.”
I knew a trans biology professor at UNT. Just looked her up and she’s still there but I wonder for how long
I looked her up on ratemyprofessor and while she’s not very popular, every comment is about lack of organization, none about gender. I am admittedly surprised
