I know that @panic and I believe @krzyzanowskim have re created TextViews for AppKit to get around Apple's... issues… but are there any open source variants for plebs like myself who might need some better text rendering, but don't have quite the skillset to do it from scratch?

#FCPX peeps, how would you somehow mark or make a list of clips on the timeline that have some sort of transform (scale), stabilization and/or a specific effect applied?

I have to do a conform in Resolve from graded clips and would like to save some time, not having to check each clip for these adjustments.

@stooovie there might be some filtering built in, but I’m not sure… it wouldn’t be too hard to get that data from the xml, though, if you can dig into that.

Swift debugging driving me nuts. #helpMe

I have a multiline file that I’ve loaded into a string using String(contentsOfFile:encoding:)

I'm trying to split the string using “someString.components(separatedBy: "==========\n“)

But it... just doesn’t. I know that particular string does exist in the file multiple times.

If I change the separator to just a linefeed it does split the file into 1600 items just fine. So for some reason it's not finding the "==========\n“ ?

I'm stumped.

@film_girl @shantini my mistake. I’m fairly new to the conference scene, but I was of the impression it was good in comparison. I do agree there’s a long way to go, but I’m also happy to celebrate small successes along the way. :)

For a long time I’ve wanted to do conference talks because I enjoy diving deep into a topic and teaching that to others.

Last year was the first time I gave a lightning talk and a workshop at an international conference. That was at FrenchKit 🇫🇷

This year I made a goal to do my first full-length conference talk and I’m happy to have that crossed off with my talk at @DeepDishSwift this week ✅🇺🇸

Who knows, maybe I get to do one more talk this year? 👀🤞
