Agreed, I don’t see the long-term benefit, logic dictates there isn’t one. Which means it must be short term, and I would rule out personal corruption amongst officials. The bribe that Russia gave them may not even benefit the country, I may just benefit the presidential accounts.
He's been saying this ever since the war started. Even if NATO cared enough to stop, how could they know he's serious since the same thing has been said with no actions so many times before?
I hope they've already been training ground crews and pilots somewhere, it'd be a shame to need to wait months or a year before using them. They're pretty persnickety
