Damn, used that app for so many years. By far my favorite.

Awesome stuff! Just started using connect and am enjoying it. Great work!

Is it intended to not have a downvote option on swipe actions? Thanks!

Awesome thanks for the info. Cheers!

Man my only issue with pixelfed is followed tags aren't showing up on my feed. There a issue already submitted, so hopefully it's resolved soon!

On my home feed on Pixelfed.social. I would expect posts with followed tags to show up under my home feed unless that is not intended.

Theres already a github issues submitted.

Hopefully its resolved soon, I really want to like pixelfed.

How do you feel about bots automatically reposting content from Reddit onto Lemmy?

I sort by all and new and have seen a fair amount of posts from bots bringing over content from Reddit. A lot of it doesn’t have much if any engagement on here and as far as I can tell even if there was it wouldn’t cross back and forth between the two platforms....

Not a huge fan, but I understand the thinking.

My issue with it, is let's say there's a self post and I respond to it. Knowing it's a bot post, I still want to contribute to the community, but I know I'm unlikely to get a response. It's possible it could start a conversation here though.

I get its a way to fill the communities with content, but it feels like a half baked attempt. Or an inflation of interactions.

Not sure the right route in these early days though.

undefined> One of things I like about Lemmy is that you can create a link post and still include text and subsequent links.

yeah that I really like as well. I can like an image that provides content to the community, but also still talk in the op rather than having to say "more info in comments" or something stupid like that.

Kbin support is exciting. Should be interesting.

Elegast,

yep!

I used to run an old Dell R610. Used a decent amount of power.

Switched to an old 4th gen quadcore i7 laptop.

Been running great, uses less power, has a built in display and keyboard.

Linux base, Docker Env for most everything else.

Came here for that info. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Holy shit that's sleek. Gonna give that a go for a while.

I've registered with kbin and lemmy.world. I gotta say I'm diggin kbin a little more. The layout is familiar and the fact that it federates with other servers makes it so I can read and comment on lemmy posts anyway. Which means that it doesn't matter that I like kbin over lemmy! I can read the same content!

My only issue is the Android app or lack there of at the moment for kbin

Cthulhu, the cosmic horror, received an unexpected gift from his grandmother, Shub'Niggurath—an ugly sweater.

Despite its clash with his terrifying image, Cthulhu embraced the garment, finding it a symbol of familial love.

As he wore the sweater, whispers spread, making him an enigmatic figure. The paradox intrigued cosmic beings, and Cthulhu's presence became associated with both terror and the power of love.

Is there a speedtest tracker docker that doesnt use ookla? Been using henrywhitaker3/speedtest-tracker and it's clearly dead since all tests are failing and the issue board is mentioning the same behavior.

Elegast,
@Elegast@lemm.ee avatar

???

What about that other Speedtest Tracker?

As far as I can tell https://github.com/henrywhitaker3/Speedtest-Tracker was abandoned. This is meant to be an actively maintained replacement with an improved UI and feature set.

Release 1.0.26

Hi all. With all the feedback yesterday I wanted to make a release sooner rather than later to address some of the feedback I’ve received in order to make Connect even better! Some features I had hoped to get in (Markdown editor, image uploads) but will need some more time. Those will come in an upcoming release. I’ve also...
