There are already people employed at news orgs that do live fact checking, including a ticker along the bottom. Though this could be useful for smaller news orgs

(I’m also US based, it might be more common over here (depending on the station 😭))

DoorDash, but make sure to take distance to restaurant into account when you tip.

Lots of restaurants (most!) don’t deliver, so calling them directly like others suggested usually won’t do any good.

How to combat creeping firefox enshitification? (lemmy.sdf.org)

I deal with a lot of VMs for varying purposes, and it seems frequent that my purpose for opening firefox is derailed by some kind of nag. For example, I frequently get the “you haven’t used firefox in a while” in vms that I rarely use firefox and have to go disable the “meta refresh” option in the “about:config”....
