Guest_User,

Massive congratulations

Guest_User,

Everyone? Well let me be a change then. I love my smart watch. It vibrating wakes me up easier than alarm. Step and sleep tracking is really useful to me. While a gimmick sure, I really enjoy being able to update and change my watch face on a whim. Even with always on display, constant heart rate tracking and step tracking, my watch easily lasts 48 hours and charges within an hour while I’m in the bathroom getting ready in the morning. I get it’s not for everyone but far cheaper than a Rolex and way more functionality.

Guest_User,

Not trying to poke the bear, but what’s the issue with calling China communist?

Google's "Manifest V2" Chrome extension phaseout next month is expected to impact the original uBlock Origin extension, which still uses the V2 framework and has 37 million users (www.theregister.com)

The new MV3 architecture reflects Google’s avowed desire to make browser extensions more performant, private, and secure. But the internet giant’s attempt to do so has been bitterly contested by makers of privacy-protecting and content-blocking extensions, who have argued that the Chocolate Factory’s new software...

Guest_User,

Running Linux? Graphic drivers all updated and is FF updated?

Guest_User,

You need to find a new gym. The growing process is slow and difficult, but with enough chicken breast and broccoli I too will soon have cat ears others will envy

Guest_User,

I get your point but totally disagree this is the same as SWATing. People can die from that. While this is bad, she was excluded from stores, not murdered

Guest_User,

Those look great. What’s your smoker setup?

[Early 1920s] Sterling Model "M" electric siren (lemmy.ca)

The Model M was an early electric siren first developed in 1920 by the Inter-State Machine Products Company, who would later rebrand to the Sterling Siren Fire Alarm Company based out of Rochester, NY. The Model M was perhaps the most popular and widespread fire siren sold in North America, with units being sold across the US...

Game kills all life on earth when starting

I just finished setting up Linux Mint for an old buddy of mine on his old dog of a laptop, rendering it useful once again! (i.imgur.com)

Edit 2: to everyone suggesting an SDD: i know. Look, if this guy had enough $$$ for an SSD, he could buy a used lappy less than half the age of this one that has an ssd and 2-3x the memory....

Guest_User,

Just playing devils advocate but a faster drive would allow better page caching even with the low ram which is probably already happening on that terribly slow HDD.

Guest_User,

Why not? I thought they were pretty popular.

Guest_User,

Seriously. Did I steal someone’s job when I made my own awful phototshop memes 10 years ago?

Guest_User,

You will always be able to spoof your MAC address if needed. I don’t see the standard ever changing enough to prevent that.

Guest_User,

Seriously. That was a tiny hole it got pushed into

Guest_User,

Is this pure AI or did you nudify real women?

Guest_User,

Does it still have “hidden test” working?

Guest_User,

Eh, one is a professional doing a job and the other is a redditor. I put the blame on the professional who put their own life and the others they work with in jeopardy.

Guest_User,

Checks out, sushi can ruin an otherwise good night

Guest_User,

I don’t think they do view it as negative, their stock is climbing aggressively on this news.

Guest_User,

Fair enough. If you really are that confident then buy some short positions and rake in the cash! I’m done playing those games as it’s too volitile and I’m too bad lol mutual funds for me because I can admit I can’t see the future of companies

Guest_User,

That’s my point with my last comment. It would be gambling because no one can really tell where the company is going. People say they know company X will go up or down but never put their money where their mouth is. If a company fails, the stock will go down. If the company does well, the stock will go up. Absolutely the relationship between company health and stock valuation is a bit blurred, but they are clearly closely related.
