Hey hello, self-hosting noob here. I just want to know if anyone would know a good way to host my writing. Something akin to those webcomic sites, except for writing. Multiple stories with their own “sections” (?) and a chapter selection for each. Maybe a home page or profile page to just briefly detail myself or whatever, I...
The other day I saw someone hosting their blog on a GitHub repository.
Just using markdown files and folders to organise it to their liking.
If you are writing stories you could use a similar approach. A folder per story then subfolders for chapters. Then having the main page have links each story’s folder with links to each chapter inside.
It got looked down on as it involves a man being transformed into a little girl and making friends at school with other girls that age. But if you ignore the fact the younger sister was a man it’s just a story about an elder sister helping her little sister get out and make friends.
I would occasionally like to use (wired) headphones, but 90% of the time I am fine with just hearing the audio that comes out of the crappy monitor speakers. If I plug the 3.5mm cable into the monitor’s headphone jack (even without headphones attached), then no audio will come out of the speaker anymore....
It’s still going strong. I can’t get enough of Myne being oblivious to the trouble she causes. I am still sad about the end, I can’t believe the eternal sufferer will have to suffer more, just give them a break.
It looks like all the books are updated in books.csv. So it should be possible to write a script to download the latest CSV, filter the required dates for that week and post it to Lemmy.
If the mods are happy I will try and have a look sometime this week at automating it, or you can pick it up if you want.
If anyone is thinking of picking it up after watching the anime I cannot think of anything that changed apart from some extra details but I would still recommend reading part 1 and 2. If not at least read the epilogue of part 2 volume 4 and the side stories at the end.
The ending of part 2 hit harder than the anime and the side stories give a lot of extra details and insights into the other characters.
I started it (70% read) but have dropped it for now as I can’t get into it. I really enjoyed the anime but just can’t get into it. I am not sure if it’s because I know what is happening or whether I am just not looking for a more serious read at the moment. I might try picking it up where the anime ends and see if I am more successful.
I’ve been killing slimes for 300 Years - Vol 01
I pick it up after failing to read Realistic hero as I read Making Magic - Vol 05 before it and thought the Wholesome book might be easier to read.

Midweek discussions - Spin-off Wishlist
If you could entice any author to create a spin-off series (or one-shot) about a side character of theirs, who would it be about?
What anime do you like but are afraid/ashamed to admit it?
My monitor has a headphone jack in the back. Can I use it only sometimes without having to plug/unplug it?
