JeSuisUnHombre,

Yeah… let’s tear down the system and replace it with something that’s soul enriching instead of soul sucking

JeSuisUnHombre,

Fucking duh. It was a very simple settings change. Turn off “Open supported links” in “Set as default” in YouTube app settings

JeSuisUnHombre,

I’ve heard many people say the opposite of this.

(My own team is olive hater)

Is a sound level of 105 decibels for a few seconds enough to rupture a person's eardrum?

In 2022, a Texas family filed a lawsuit against Apple for damaging their son’s hearing after an Amber Alert went off while he was wearing Airpods. According to Google, the maximum volume of phone headphones is around 105 decibels. The family are claiming that the son now requires hearing aids after his eardrum ruptured....

JeSuisUnHombre,

That dB level isn’t crazy high, but rupturing your eardrum typically has more to do with sound pressure level (SPL) which very well might be possible when you’re talking about little speakers as close to the eardrum as possible and creating a partial air lock. That and like other people have said, you don’t need to rupture anything to get some serious tinnitus.

JeSuisUnHombre, (edited )

I’ve been arguing this for a while and I don’t understand why so many people are against it.

He/Him: okay i guess

She/Her: weird change and doesn’t fit previous convention

He/Her: actually builds off of each other

That and while the distinction between Male and Female pronouns is kind of pointless, having a distinction between singular and plural pronouns is actually a helpful feature.

JeSuisUnHombre, (edited )

So that means that’s the best way for it to work in the future? Having a distinction between singular and plural is useful, so why *not adjust our language and repurpose the not useful gendered pronouns?

JeSuisUnHombre,

More like…

Using gendered singular pronouns: kinda weird and pointless

Using they/them for both singular and plural: possibly confusing

Making a non-gendered singular pronoun: reduces confusion

JeSuisUnHombre,

I understand that, my point is that they’re not useful. Or at least it would be much more useful to have a singular and a plural pronoun, because that distinction is more relevant to modern speech.

JeSuisUnHombre,

You could use a similar argument to stop literally any innovation. Things don’t have to be an issue to be able to be improved.

JeSuisUnHombre,

Are we not intelligent enough to make language whatever we want it to be? We actually do that all the time with political correctness and ungendering words like policeman.

JeSuisUnHombre,

It’s not that contrived to have two subjects in a sentence be a single person and a group of people. I have personally been in situations where someone was confused about the use of the singular them. Obviously it’s possible to understand in most circumstances, but why not make it easier? Especially when it’s a simple solution that also stops most of the misgendering people experience.

JeSuisUnHombre,

I’m not obligating anything or asking for any accommodation. I’m trying to make an argument for a better system than what we currently have, whereas you just seem to be saying ‘change is stupid’.

JeSuisUnHombre,

Dude, we’re probably the only 2 people on earth who are going to see this conversation, how am I trying to force anything? The responses you’ve given have made you seem like a very close minded person. If you don’t agree with what I’m saying that’s fine, but if you’re going to engage in a debate then please address the things I’m actually saying. Otherwise I’m just going to stop responding.

JeSuisUnHombre,

Yes. When I think of a just system it’s more like…

Person commits crime and goes to rehabilitation, if they can’t be rehabilitated then they are imprisoned or exiled, if they are still a threat there that’s when it may become necessary to execute. It’s not a punishment, it’s a last resort for the safety of others.

JeSuisUnHombre,

I was about to question the “zionist left” part and decided to do a quick search. Apparently it’s real, one of the largest parties in Israel is the “Labor Zionist” party which actually holds certain leftist values like proletarian* ownership of the means of production. Bibi is a right wing liberal all the way and his party reflects that, just to be clear. But it shows how any movement can be devastating and harmful when it adopts a mentality of exclusion. In the case of the LZ party, it’s the *Jewish proletariat that they want to build socialism for, while keeping an underclass of gentiles. So once again racism and hierarchies are here to ruin your movement.

JeSuisUnHombre,

*Led Zeppelin

JeSuisUnHombre,

Could’ve been an interesting cover though, not the worst Zeppelin tune for them

JeSuisUnHombre,

The downvotes on this comment clearly are refusing to watch the evidence backed video you’ve linked.

JeSuisUnHombre,

Mine was one of those rugged ones. I don’t remember if I had picked up STP yet or if it was still weird al

JeSuisUnHombre,

Outraged enough to do something against it? Or at least enough to stop supporting it?

JeSuisUnHombre,

I looked up the South African band. They mostly go by Xavleg. The full name is an initialism for “Acidic Vaginal Liquid Explosion Generated By Mass Amounts Of Filthy Fecal Fisting And Sadistic Septic Syphilic Sodomy Inside The Infected Maggot Infested Womb Of A Molested Nun Dying Under The Roof Of A Burning Church While A Priest Watches And Ejaculates In Immense Perverse Pleasure Over His First Fresh Fetus”. They are a Christian band.
