On today's walk, we passed a truck parked across the entrance to our road with driver seemingly asleep. On our way back, the truck & man were still there & a neighbor was parked behind him on her phone. She was concerned, didn't want to approach on her own, so she called the police.
N and I walked over & tapped on his window. Turns out he's older, is struggling on his own w cancer, trying to get to the doctor & his truck wasn't cooperating.
Hoping the police hooked him up w medical transport.

@anathema_device She's had experience with violence before, so I think she was being super cautious. Now we know where he lives, so we can lend a hand if he'll let us.

Big accident on our 25 mph residential street this morning. Took out a tree and a power pole and no power for over 300 homes in the area.

And now we've learned from a neighbor that the driver was a ninety year old man. He was pretty shook up, especially after learning his wife died minutes after the accident. 💔
