Minarble,

Pay your mortgage fortnightly not monthly.

Paying monthly vs fortnightly

As an example, imagine you take out a $400,000 loan for 30 years at an interest rate of 3.64%. Your monthly payments will be $1,827.58. Over the duration of the loan, the total amount you repay will be $657,931 including both principal and interest.

If you switch from monthly to fortnightly repayments, you’ll be paying an extra $1,827.58 each year. This will cut the time it takes to repay your loan by four years and ten months. You’ll also save $38,145 on interest charges.

Minarble,

I wonder who would benefit the most from a Europe dependent on fossil fuels and a warming climate and is particularly adept at sowing discontent and distrust?

Minarble,

I’ve heard tell from a primary source that sailed with him that there was a Marine Engineer on a Greek passenger ship that was drunk all the time and basically completely useless except for one task.

Due to an unfortunate design flaw if one of the sewerage tanks overflowed it filled up the compartment that held the isolation valves to the tanks.

His only job was to swim into the raw sewage and dive down to the valves and shut off the overflowing tank so it could be pumped out.

Minarble,

As much as I hate to agree with Space Karen I think you are right how can one sovereign country dictate what can be seen in other countries?

Minarble,

Yeah nah… Things are crook in Tullarook and there’s no work in Burke.

Minarble,

There are 60 or so million people in the low lying Bangladesh flood plain that will be needing somewhere to move to. They already suffer from regular flooding and heat waves and it will not take much of a rise in sea water levels to make the flooding permanent.

Minarble,

Please address him by his proper title:

Convicted felon Donald Trump

Minarble,

Fat old convicted criminal looks tired.

More at 11.

Minarble,

Well I learnt something new today so thank you.

Minarble,

They also have great public transport. The MRT is excellent.

Minarble,

Thanks to Joe Hockey and the LNP government who decided it wasn’t strategically important to have high value manufacturing in Australia.

Minarble,

I thought about what you said, but I came to the only logical conclusion.

Fuck Trump and the horse he rode in on.

Minarble, (edited )

Fortunately she did resist, and so she will diminish and fade into the West.

Minarble,

Also spend some time just focusing on the music and enjoying it… everything else will follow.

A mobile game commercial with a ridiculous number of stars in it and great production value. How much money do these games make, or how cheap is it to get these stars? (www.instagram.com)

If it’s cheap to get stars, I’m definitely having Dolph Lundgren at my next birthday party. Dude doesn’t have to do anything, just hang out.

Minarble,

Who are the stars?

Is that really Hemsworth? I thought it was just a good impersonator.

Minarble,

Thanks…you weren’t wrong about the page. It’s basically an add for the game with adds all the way down!

From the article:

Chris Hemsworth, Christina Ricci, Ken Jeong, Will Arnett, And Auli’i Cravalho Squad Up in Launch Trailer for Squad Busters

The Hollywood gang, while quipping about Ricci’s skeleton-summoning staff, encounter another player’s squad whose characters are played by Internet sensations including TikTok superstar [Bella Poarch]as Witch, real-life woodcutter [Thoren Bradley] as Greg, lip-syncing legend [Gabriela Moura]as Shelly and YouTube extraordinaire [ZHC] as Chicken.

In a knowing wink to the viewer, Seth Phillips, better known as [Dude With Sign] makes a brief cameo during the battle to ‘appeal to a younger audience’

Minarble,

Don’t forget Expendables 4…he is sober now as the sniper but is half blind due to his age and can’t hit the side of a barn door from 20 m away.

Minarble,

Slip a bit of Thunder Gun in there as well.

Minarble,

'I believe we're on the edge of a revolution': While the NZ government delivered its budget, protests were sweeping the nation (www.abc.net.au)

In short: The New Zealand government has handed down its 2024 budget, releasing details of highly anticipated tax cuts, while thousands of people rallied across the country to protest against policies considered to be eroding Indigenous rights....

Minarble,

“Don’t fuck with the Maori”

  • British Empire probably
Minarble,

So a boomer who retires to Tasmania is trying to stop new green industry in an industrial area that needs future facing jobs for its young people. Industry that will allow Singapore and Darwin to partially de carbonise their grid. Australia to literally export sunshine as electricity. Basically a win win win for all involved.

Because he will be able to see it for part of his view over a KM away.

He is not even in the same council area.
