NakariLexfortaine,

Something I’ve learned with Stephen King: If you remember it as a TV special, it probably was. I swear, he just had a thing for them, for a time.

I thought Tommyknockers was decent. Definitely above the second attempt at The Stand, but below the first run. Definitely above Langoliers.

NakariLexfortaine,

Yeah, but it took me years to realize it. I used to be a part of a FFXIV LGBT+ focused Facebook group, and there was one woman there who was the start of breaking down some brick walls in myself. Just listening to her talk about her journey through transitioning opened my eyes to some negative feelings I was carrying, and later on in my life, where those feelings really stemmed from.

I wish I had said “no” when she asked me if I was so sure about myself. I feel like I missed a wide open door I should’ve jumped through, instead of stumbling through it already half-broken 10 years down the line.

This is probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever written, it’s an impossibly small chance, but if you’re out there, I miss the fuck outta you, you pole-smoking thundercunt. I wish I realized what a friend I had before I chose to walk away.

I’m fairly certain there’s some community servers out there for both OG Battlefronts, and some mods to add in missing content from console versions.

NakariLexfortaine,

HOLY SHIT, IT’S LIKE THEY MADE A SEQUEL TO THE SNES GAME!

For those who didn’t grow up with it, there were 5 titles released under “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers” back in the day, with some consoles having a very different game. The big two I remember was a super solid side-scrolling beat-em-up for the SNES, and a fighting game on the Genesis.

NakariLexfortaine,

You got it pretty dead on.

It’s a mint sheet, dissolves on the tongue and freshens breath. They were a fairly popular novelty when they first came out, advertised as a quicker alternative to a mint candy or gum.

NakariLexfortaine,

“Breath freshening strips”, I’m fairly sure? “Listerine Breath Strip” should get you at least started.

NakariLexfortaine,

A general lack of control, but mainly manifested in not being able to stop doing something. Mainly walking, it’s like things can be peaceful, but the moment I try to stop, take a look at something, there’s an overwhelming feeling of I can’t, I’m not allowed to, I’m moving for a reason and if I stop now, I’ll never start again, they(whatever it is) won’t let me.

Or sometimes it’s coming out of hiding. I’ve had a few where it’s like a horror movie, there’s party music somewhere above me, but I’m hiding in something, and I know there’s something just wrong, but if I try to leave wherever I’m at, I can’t. Like my body in the dream locks up, refuses to let me step out and face it. It makes it feel so much worse, like I’m locked in by my own self.

NakariLexfortaine,

This is what happens when you drop someone to chase their mom.

NakariLexfortaine,

Great, another thing to feel inadequate about.

NakariLexfortaine,

Not just clowns everywhere.

Clowns actively putting themselves in harms way. Which is probably therapeutic, on a dark level, for a number of people.

NakariLexfortaine,

“And if you don’t believe in Jesus, and Osiris or Isis, too, and while the world is warrin’, we’ll just sit back and laugh at you.”

What hobbies or volunteer work require creative problem solving from lots of different areas?

I’m a bit of a jack of all trades. When I work on a project I use anything from woodworking and sewing to chemistry and physics to human physiology and psychology. I also like reading up then chatting about random science and history and art stuff. I like working with computers occasionally, and I’ll just randomly throw some...

NakariLexfortaine,

It might sound odd, but genuinely, check if any local wildlife rehabs/centers need volunteers.

There’s constantly something that needs done, often in creative ways, especially when doing something like designing an enrichment area. It might just look like a bunch of random junk, but a lot of thought and effort goes into constructing something that actually mimics situations an animal might encounter in the wild.

NakariLexfortaine,

They keep a decent variety, and the tour of how chocolates made can be a treat for kids. Especially when the smell really hits.

The stadiums an alright venue, too. Went to see a few shows there growing up. The big one I remember was Journey and Def Leppard, people were surprisingly hyped. This was shortly after Journey replaced the lead singer, so I think that was part of it.

NakariLexfortaine,

Probably culinary history(Love Tasting History) and people training A.I to play games.

I don’t know what it is, but something about seeing a thousand iterations try and fail understanding how to move a cube, but quickly grasping launching itself off the edge of the level, makes me laugh.

NakariLexfortaine,

Always sleep with your plug in, people.

It’s not government propaganda, it’s for your own safety, stop questioning the cat tail. It’s for emergency removal.

NakariLexfortaine,

Sounds like a neat concept, but I’m hoping it’s something more than Eternal but in the Middle Ages. I was kinda excited when they said Eternal/TAG was the end of the Slayers story, wouldn’t mind seeing the world through someone else’s eyes for a bit.

NakariLexfortaine,

Eh, it doesn’t sound destructive or interruptive to your day.

Manifesting isn’t just a new-age hippy thing. Ritual can put your brain in a certain space, and that can be a massive motivator for someone. Picking your socks to fit the theme isn’t all that different than telling yourself affirmations in the mirror.

It’s kinda like the “lucky shirt” concept. Sure, the shirt doesn’t really have some metaphysical power, but you’re putting yourself in the mindset of “Good things happen when I wear this”, and when you’re already in that frame of mind, the good things stand out even more.

NakariLexfortaine,

They took the buffet out of KFC and Shoney’s been dead for years.

Someone had to pick up the slack, and a good buffet goes great with the peanuts.

NakariLexfortaine,

That’s just Tim Curry.

There is no scene left unchewed from his presence, and it’s goddamn glorious.

NakariLexfortaine,

Look at how casual they’re acting.

That’s a kid who loves the Power Glove.

NakariLexfortaine,

Don’t underestimate a chicken.

I’ll give it to the human 9 out of 10 times, but that 10th is the one who went for the eyes and succeeded.

Those feet are no joke. Sure, it’s probably not going to kill you, but you’re going to be in for a world of pain if things go wrong.

NakariLexfortaine,

At this point, it’s not even a zombie.

The Atari shambling around today is Frankensteins Monster without the self-awareness, merely ripping parts off to replace when needed.

NakariLexfortaine, (edited )

It’s a weird running theme with older style deck art.

You’ll see a 2 of Swords that’s just a dude holding two regular sized swords, then you see the 6 of Swords and now they’re wall-hangers triple the length of the bed.

NakariLexfortaine,

After 10-13 hours on the factory floor, I don’t know that you’d call any of us of sound mind or body.

But lemme tell you, at that particular point of 3:20AM, knowing your week just hit the halfway point without counting OT, that waffle was a gift from the heavens.
