I recently was able to get back my 4th gen iPad that I used for university and got excited to start using it again just for basic stuff like searching stuff on the browser, reading comics and such. However I quickly realized that I was unable to download anything from the AppStore as my iOS version is 10.3.4 and apps like...
People from r/Canada are so pathetic and predictable that they got pissed at the article and the thread about this has already been locked.
“Why would corporations hoard housing if it wasn’t for immigration?” is the main argument they use, like corporations wouldn’t be attempting to profit over a basic human need in any circumstances.
I always use MDN if I need to check anything JS related. For React, I don’t see why use anything else other than the official documentation. If you’re learning I’d suggest Full Stack Open or even Odin Project which are courses that at least bother to explain a little of best practices.
I’ve been really wanting to get a steamdeck. I’ve been playing a lot on my modded switch, but there is a lot I want to play that is not available on the switch....
I’ve been using more my switch lately than my deck, but that’s due to the fact I have a local library with many switch games available. While me and my spouse are super pro emulating we don’t want to bother with emulating switch because:
We’re not willing to hack our Switches yet.
I’m extremely uninformed on where to find another bios
In addition, the steam deck display isn’t as pretty to look at as the OLED.
Immigration isn’t only for an international context but can also be used for people that immigrate from one city to another. One can be xenophobic if one dislikes the idea of people moving where they live (be that for prejudice of other’s culturies or for a belief that their home city will be worse due to immigration). People will always move where they please and using that as argument is just tiring. We need ways to regulate housing and stop people from profiting over it.
I am honestly in good faith attempting to argue that this way of thought is a slippery slope for other things that don’t necessarily include murdering specific groups of people and can still be considered fascist. For example, which solutions would you suggest?
To be clear, I am not saying I disagree with you in the regard that in our current society more people means more pollution and a higher rate of environmental destruction. Your wording just seems off.
If you check fertility rates you will see that people aren’t willing to have children like they used to do. And it doesn’t seem that Japan is seeing their population decreasing as a good thing.
I have a PhD in particle physics from a top 10 university in the world, and I don’t believe climate change is a problem
My brother in Christ, you could have stopped here. Your post doesn’t even make an effort to support your argument (no papers, no evidence), you’re only spewing bullshit like you’re better than some people on the internet. Be better.
In hopes to deliver 250 mph rail service by midcentury, the Democrats in Washington’s congressional delegation are asking the federal government for $198 million to help plan a route between Vancouver, B.C.; Seattle; and Portland.
This video almost made me cry in a few points. I am so guilty of punishing myself for being unable to be productive like others. I can relate to this so much, including attempting GTD for a long time (which surprise surprise, didn’t work out!).
Just thought I’d share something I thought was pretty interesting. I have a mother in law who is… well let’s just say she’s a stereotypical older mom who doesn’t own a computer, just an iPad. During the pandemic, she started getting into Nintendo games and bought herself a Switch. Fast forward a few years later and...
As someone alternative that been active in local gothic scenes I also use “normie” to refeer to people that do not engage with subcultures. I didn’t even know it was considered pejorative until this post

Thank you for that one! I just loved the idea of being able to listen to an article I am interested than reading so if it was a feature of the app. I use android/windows/ubuntu mainly

Taxes aren’t a problem. The problem is when they aren’t invested correctly or when the poor are expected to pay taxes when they shouldn’t. Not perfect but recently we got FHSA.
I haven’t had a need for suspense, I use react query without suspense just using the data, error, isLoading etc state directly. And I don’t see Suspens as a simpler pattern necessarily. What does it get you that other patterns don’t? I’m curious to know your use cases!
Suspense seems to be great and solve the issue of many loading states but at least with my use cases, I’d use it in a project where I need data to be fetched and libraries like SWR don’t look like they will be supporting it anytime soon.
What do I need to do if I want to use my old 4th gen iPad in 2023?
