    @aetataureate Large platforms need to be strictly moderated. It's as simple as that imho. No "marketplace of ideas" nonsense, there need to be clear standards. If a platform is a wild west free for all it's just too hostile for normal people to live on comfortably.

    @aetataureate Thanks for the spam report, the user has been blocked.

    Apparently there's some sort of attack happening over at mastodon.social with lots of crypto accounts being created spreading spam.

    They're looking into it so hopefully it will stop soon. But don't hesitate to report another if you see more.

    If things get overly bad we might limit mastodon.social but I'd rather not if it's not absolutely required.

    Saw a short on YouTube this morning & I’ve been dwelling on it since, someone with TS is upset because people have been harassing her accusing her of faking.

    But she is upset at other people faking, not at the people harassing her. It’s sad because the comments are all filled with “oh [X] is how we know she isn’t faking, you can use this to tell” and like… no you fucking can’t!

    Just don’t harass or accuse people of faking, you don’t know! You’re an asshole on the internet! You’re the problem!

    me, loads a csv file into a spreadsheet processor, csv standing for "comma separated values"

    spreadsheet processor: ah yes! a comma separated values file! by default we assume these have values separated by tabs. is this correct? :D
