I mean that is pretty par for the course with borderlands. They had a whole sequence in Borderlands 2 where Hammerlock gets annoyed and calls some monster he wants to name “Bonerfart” and then the mission objective is “kill 5 bonerfarts.” so yeah the sequence is a little juvenile/over the top, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen in borderlands 100 times. That’s pretty much the entire shtick. Juvenile violence and “lol random!!11!!!”
I say this as somebody who has many great memories of playing borderlands 1 and 2. Though, I just don’t think this is going to be good no matter how they spin it. It’s not a setting I ever wanted to see turned into film to begin with.
I just installed EndeavorOS on an HP Spectre360 that’s roughly 2 years old. I am honestly surprised at how easy it went. If you google it, you’ll get a lot of “lol good luck installing linux on that” type posts - so I was ready for a battle....
Or a Mac ime. I tried to run mint OS on a 2016 intel MBPro and it was a disaster. I got it up and running but the Touch Bar didn’t work, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, all kinds of issues.
It’s ok Abbott will reassure us it’s all nonsense and defund anything environmental before they can do anymore damage to the god fearing Texan minds that depend on his leadership.
Locked a bunch of the production industry/creatives/graphic artists/etc. completely out of creative cloud and all of its apps until they signed a new TOS. They gave no heads up about it and basically it lets them use all your media however they want, super invasive stuff.
Two months ago I convinced my company to switch over to Da Vinci resolve and I am never going back. It is objectively the better tool in every regard for video editing. The only thing I will miss from Adobe is their audio enhance tool, but we will survive lol
Black magic design has proven themselves a pretty capable, reasonable, mostly consumer friendly company for a good decade now. I feel safe for now. But always gotta be on the lookout!
I heard it from a legal scholar on a podcast the other day who was very clear it’s a small but real technicality, but unfortunately i can’t find anything because it’s pages and pages of headlines announcing he’s the first convicted felon president.
Either way it doesn’t matter. I just thought it was interesting. I only hope he gets a dozen more convictions lol dude’s a criminal and he deserves that and more.

He missed the point of my comment. I’m not saying there aren’t reasons to not adopt RCV, I am saying there is no reason to write laws that ban its adoption. They’re going to ban any system that could vaguely hurt them. This is a dangerous precedent when simply not adopting it is an available option. It also means if future constituencies want to switch over to it, they to repeal the law before they can even start to an enact a new one.
You mock but I have successfully changed the course of conversation when I bring up extreme or otherwise flagrantly undemocrstic actions like this. I have uncle who is completely rethinking his stance because he has been watching what governors in the south have been up to. Never seen him question the GOP/MAGA until recently, because he’s seeing the consequences play out for real now. Louisiana ending concealed carry permits scared the shit out of him.
A lot of people really do have a line and you need to keep showing them the stuff Fox and breitbart won’t show them. If we don’t try then we may as well just roll over and die and skip the stress of effort.
I just don’t get the issue though. It doesn’t really matter if they understand the intricacies. Simply list the candidates in order of preference and let it play out.
Most people don’t even understand how our current electoral system works but they don’t seem to be raising a stink about it lol
They don’t like the fact that they have lost all but one popular vote in the last 30 years. 1988 and 2004 (barely) were the last 2 popular votes they won. They can’t win unless they stack the deck and keep the electoral college.
Then it’s not margin of error, the predictive accuracy - whatever the term is - is far worse 6mo out from an election (5 now i guess) than the ones that are days or a week or so out. That’s the point. Polls now are useful but not for saying who will win in November. You may as well forget the top line numbers as soon as you see them unless you’re comparing them over time and/or looking at cross tabs for broad demographic trends, which is also limited but useful in some ways.
