Yes FOSS is communism, spontaneously arising under capitalism, requiring zero bloody revolutions.
Marx was right about the need for people to be nice and give things to each other, but he was wrong about it being necessary to destroy capitalism before this happened.
According to Marx communism is a scenario of complete freedom.
It’s the socialist state that is authoritarian.
I think Marx’s idea is to actively burn away the old and then the new grow spontaneously. I think he’s wrong, since the old is a result of spontaneous growth already, but that’s the theory at least.
Airlines can treat people like shit because it’s not a free market. If anyone who wanted could start up their own airline, they’d be a lot more consumer-friendly by necessity.
Weapons are a human right, completely independent of anything about rebellions or keeping the government in check.
Individually, if you prevent a person from carrying a weapon when they’re in a dangerous situation, it’s like locking them into a cage with a hungry tiger in it.
It’s perfectly natural for a person to be able to reach out and pick up a weapon. To block someone from this takes active effort.
And if that person is in a dangerous situation, and you make that effort to prevent them from being armed, you’re actively violating their rights.
You realize the office of the US President is involved in important things in the world, and isn’t just a vehicle for revenge against a former President?
Yeah i’m really bad at hiding my responses too. people take it as insult, because it’s so easy for them they’d never let that through except on purpose. But I can’t help it.
But like if I try this, if I break down and try this, I’m so bad at it that it’s insulting and threatening to them to see my transparent flattery and wheedling.
It would make for a devastatingly funny show (always on the edge of being a totally offensive disaster) to make a story that’s obviously a cute romantic story through some 1980s artistic lens, but also obviously a story of sexual assault through some 2020s artistic lens.
Could be a comedy and a commentary on how that’s changed.
Like, to somehow make a comedy about the millennia of trauma we’ve all inherited from the past. That would take a genius but it could be so funny.
They’re trying to say that I said, ‘Black people were doing better under Jim Crow.’ I never said that. They are lying. But why would you be surprised? They always lie," Donalds said.
“What I said was, you had more Black families under Jim Crow, and it was the Democrat policies under H.E.W., under the welfare state that did help to destroy the Black family,” the Republican clarified.
What he said is simple and hard to get wrong. The people who are getting it wrong are lying, on purpose, about what he said.
I’ve got no loyalty at all to communism or marxism. But I do have a loyalty to honesty, and I have to object. I don’t see a denial of the Massacre in the screenshotted comment. I see a characterization of it as some kind of US-led attack.
They aren’t saying anything like “that didn’t happen” or “people didn’t die”. Maybe they say it elsewhere, but not here.
Guys, this is fascinating as it’s all new to me. But if you’re having this discussion for the public you should be linking specific examples when you can.
I don’t know whether to believe what you’re saying or not.
