I had been using kdenlive for quite a while. I am learning Olive to get accustomed to nonlinear editing before I take on Resolve. I am really liking Olive, since it works fantastically for the kind of stuff I tend to do.
Honestly, because Resolve has been a pain to get working on the distro I use and I can’t be bothered to trouble shoot a behemoth like that for a hobby that I’d like to enjoy immediately. One day I’ll get it working after plugging away at it.

If you have fun watching it, then go for it. The whole Shatner focused thing makes a lot of sense. He would setup shots in minutes instead of the industry norm of hours just for that focus.
Yeah, I get that. I do, however, really like how FireDragon comes with a lot of the extension I’d like to use, and with searx as the default web search. It also takes almost no time to switch to a much better KDE layout as opposed to the seemingly script kiddie dr4a6onized default.
Very fair. I’m a far cry from an advanced user - I know just enough to be dangerous to myself, and didn’t see that. As I said in another comment, though, I do like that the default browser is somewhat hardened and uses a decent searx instance as the default search. It does seem to be marketed towards teenagers, though, unfortunately.

Thanks for this. I just tested with a VPN active and had the same issue. It may be the poor overworked adapter. I am going to get a cheap USB adapter and see if it will hold up.With VPN on and losing DNS, it has to be the adapter finally giving up the ghost =/
Commenting to update: With great sadness, I tried undoing my multimonitor setup and going back to just the laptop display, This worked flawlessly! I don’t know if if the system wasn’t respecting my configs, the hardware somehow healed itself, or what. For now, I’m back in pure laptop mode (which sucks, because 22" vs 15" is a giant downgrade). However, it’s all working…
