I'd go back to the 1970s, the dawning of personal computer growth in it's beginnings. I'd take every single idea and patent from today and collect them all in a multiple series of binders. I would spend weeks holed up in some apartment, jotting notes, re-directing credits to me....
I have an Old Man Mountain Divide for my rear rack on my Haanjo. Also have an Old Man Mountain Pizza Rack that I use as the front rack on my commuter bike. They are both axle mounted which strengthens the whole setup. The Divide also has a lower pannier top rail that keeps the top of the rack more accessible for mounting stuff on top.
My only issue with their rack system is price. The racks themselves aren’t cheap and adding the thru axle brings the price up even more. I decided I’d rather spend more once rather than end up having issues while away from home.
As someone who has dealt with a couple dozen Surface devices in a corporate setting, I cannot recommend them. They’re fine when they work. When they have issues though, they are practically impossible to repair. Keyboard port issues, dock connection issues, bricked devices, and even expanding batteries are all issues I’ve run into. When you have an issue, Microsoft will just swap it out for a different one rather than fix the device.
For me it’s driving while under the influence. If you couldn’t tell, I like me some ganja. However I have long since held the belief that it is utterly insane to drive while under the influence of most substances, with maybe nicotine and caffeine being the exception. All too often I see other stoners smoking and driving,...
It’s an issue with media outlets sensationalizing everything. The authors of the study even say that it’s premature to call this a cure in humans. It is a nice step forward though.
For example, I personally can’t listen to Guns and Roses without immediately thinking “that Axl sure is an asshole”, and that sours the entire experience.
This is the first band that came to mind when I saw this thread. Even though I liked their music when it came out, I would feel gross listening to it now.
I don’t think you’ve actually read any of the comments in this thread. Everything is a legit discussion of EVs and how Musk is handling this. Nobody is bashing China. If anyone is being criticized in this thread, it’s Musk.
I have a 10" width rack cabinet where my Proxmox cluster (three mini Lenovo Thinkcentre) lives. I’m currently designing a 10" mount to hold an old phone so that I can see my server monitoring/status through the glass of the door.
Price range for retail seems to be $100-250 for IKEA stuff that will fall apart in 3 years, or $1,000+ for something better. Is there nothing in between? Would prefer to buy new with risk of bed bugs or other contaminants but open to other options if I’m missing something.
That sounds like some interesting reading. Any chance you could cite/link something? Having a hard time finding anything related to this particular topic.
You're a time traveler, what would you do if you went back in time to make the most of it?

Mostly for commuting, but it’s pretty good off pavement as well. Upgrading the brake lines first. 700c wheels and tires next.
