Harmony supports importing/aggregates data from #deezer, #beatport, #bandcamp and #itunes / #applemusic - so far.

For the 2023 Summit we crunched stats, and 53% of all MB releases added in the previous year were via tools or scripts:

3: Bandcamp

We have addressed the immediate issue - search should run smoothly for the time being. We will be looking into the underlying issues in the next few days, if we donโ€™t get the new cluster up before then (which was already in progress, as luck would have it) -a

@ampache @dogmazic @wjmaggos @errhead You can โ€˜seedโ€™ information to MusicBrainz, but we do not allow data addition without human verification. Seeding/import examples: https://wiki.musicbrainz.org/Guides/Userscripts#Userscripts:_Importers

We allow some simple, verified, bots: https://beta.musicbrainz.org/doc/Code_of_Conduct/Bots

And simplifying user actions is okay also. For instance, adding functionality to a player that lets the user submit tags (or CC relationships!) for selected tracks/albums to MB.

There may be other ways as well.

If you have a library with MBIDโ€™s already (accurately) assigned, and the licence is defined in your tags/database somewhere, then that is a good example of something that could be automated - setting recording or album cc relationships from tags. -a
