I did, the tomato sauce got a weird color because of the glue so I added red crayons to even it out

Don’t need to be that rich to get a simulator

In fact, kill yourself is kind of a tenet of any stoic philosophy

Edit to say that “yourself” in this case refers to one’s ego

For now, cars need more than computer vision to navigate because right now adding cameras by themselves doesn’t help a car spatially orient itself in its environment. What might help? I think the consensus is that the cameras need to get a 360 deg view of the surroundings and the car needs a method for making sense of these inputs without that understanding being the focus of attention.

It seems Teslas do add sensors in appropriate locations to be able to do that, but there’s some disconnect in reconciling the information: notateslaapp.com/…/tesla-guide-number-of-cameras-…. A multi-modal sensing system would bypass reliance on getting everything right via CV.

Think of you focusing on an object in the distance and moving toward it: while you’re using your eyes to look at it, you’re subconsciously computing relative distance and speed as you approach it. it’s your subconscious memory of your 3D spatial orientation that helps you make corrections and adjustments to your speed and approach. Outside of better hardware that can reconcile these different inputs, relying on different sensor inputs would make the most robust approach for autonomous vehicles.

Humans essentially keep track of their body in 3D space and time without thinking about it, and actually most multicellular organisms have learned to do this in some manner.

To whom? Who do you trust enough? What if those funds end up going towards gay conversion therapy or something like that?

Unless there’s a government driven system in place which ensures reasonable utilization of resources, “giving it away” may cause more damage. Exception is if there’s a charity you super trust, but most of that funding usually pays execs salaries.

Note that so much charity was done for pro choice efforts, but now some women don’t have the right to abortion in the U.S. because some people bought the Supreme Court. So no, don’t “give it away” unless either know where it ends up, or are okay with whatever the consequences may be.

The only reasonable use of money in the current system is lobbying or political action committees.

How does the family of the victim get justice? Or was there a settlement? Does he not have anyone to get justice for him?

Edit very sad situation just wondering what the family is going thru

Remember the government is not your friend.

The government is working out just fine for people in Nordic and other EU counties

I need to wake up early (lemmy.world)

All the vibrating alarm clocks I could find do not sync with your phone, and have to be set manually. I thought about getting an Arduino, but then I will have to build the whole thing by myself. The only logical conclusion I could come up with is to get a programable vibrator. But most of them are either very expensive of look...

Do you have the option to go to bed early enough that you can just wake up at the desired time without an alarm? May not work effectively till you’ve recovered sleep debt. You may need to sleep in late a few weekends to recover sleep debt, but don’t get carried away such that you can’t sleep that night. It also helps to tire yourself out with exercise so you can sleep when you want and then wake up without an alarm.

For other options, try a programmable butt plug maybe

Disagree, the U.S. does a lot of things right which quietly go unnoticed because the failures are fun to point out (“haha Richie rich state is failing loool”). All countries have their issues, and the U.S. desperately needs market socialism.

But please give me an example of any other top GDP country in the world where immigrants can become elected officials (not president) at the federal level. Russia? China? India? All of the other examples in top GDP earners are inherently xenophobic.
