nightshade,

The Democratic Party has spent more effort in the past few months to shut down/censor left-wing and pro-Palestine activism than they have in the past 10 years to shut down/censor right-wing rhetoric that promotes hatred of migrants, Muslims, LGBT people, “globalists” (which basically just means imaginary Jewish conspirators), etc; never mind that the latter has lead to actual murders against all aforementioned groups. Why should we believe them when they’ve thoroughly proven that they’re far more interested in wielding power against the left than against the Republicans they were supposedly elected to fight?

nightshade,

“I wish they would build more dense infrastructure”

monkey’s paw curls

nightshade,

It’s a stiff competition, but the idea that women are biologically incapable of flying airplanes has got to be one of the dumbest right-wing culture war talking points out there.

Edit: Also, the fact that his wife is a pilot explains a lot; I don’t know how anyone could tolerate being married to The Quartering if they weren’t away from home all the time.

nightshade,

I am certainly no fan of George W Bush, but what I’m saying is that every single sensible person that can come out against this orange nutboy, the better. Even if 1,000 people who thought George W bush was awesome reconsiders their vote, it’s a good thing.

Hey, you guys have been doing great with Arab and Muslim voters recently, right? I’m sure that more than 1,000 of them would change their vote after seeing you be friendly with Bush. Surely nobody would finally come to realize that Democrats really stand for nothing after seeing that.

nightshade,

How do Democrats still not understand that giving concessions to the “merits” of fascist rhetoric (like they’re doing with trans people as well) will never make people think you’re more “reasonable”, and will always further normalize hatred? Or do they understand it and that’s exactly why they’re doing it? They’ve done it so many times that it has to be a conscious decision at this point, right?

nightshade,

Believes in an ideology which valorizes greed and selfishness

Complains when fellow believers in that ideology use their education to become fossil fuel execs, Supreme Court justices, and hedge fund managers instead of doing a teaching job which requires more effort and pays way less.

nightshade,

You’d think that at least some of the techno-libertarians would remember that data harvesting is a bad thing. Like, if they’re going to build their identity crying about “censorship by woke communist big tech” then they could get an easy PR win by “not spying on you, unlike the government Silicon Valley elites” (even if they’d be lying about that). Even the cryptobros managed to pretend to care about privacy like that.

The only upside is that it’ll be really funny when some rich and powerful Elon cultist’s personal data is inevitably leaked.

Edit: It’d also be easy to make a pretend justification for their $8 bluechecks and X cryptocoins that way. Like, “our revolutionary new business model lets us make money by blah blah blah verification blah blah blah web3 instead of spying on users”.
