At some point that must have been the idea behind this logo. Would be interesting to hear from the original artist why they decided to go in a different direction with it.

Das sind größtenteils Fragen die sich erst durch das derzeitige künstlich abgeschottete System ergeben.

Diese Gruppen sind ja nicht “fragmentiert” sondern überlappen und ergänzen sich gegenseitig.

Aber naja, die grundsätzliche Antwort im Anarchismus ist aber auch das sich das letzten Endes nur durch Ausprobieren herausfinden lässt. Theoretisch diskutieren wie es denn eventuell sein könnte ist ziemlich sinnlos. Worin sich aber alle Anarchisten einig sind ist das der Weg das Ziel ist, d.h. beim Ausprobieren sollte man nie etwas so behandeln als ob der Zweck allem Mittel heiligt. Solange man sich an diesen Grundsatz hält, ist eigentlich sichergestellt das man bei der Reise nicht wo anders landet als mal sich das erhofft hat.

Wenn man die Welt mit all ihrer kulturellen, sozialen und geographischen Diversität einfach ohne Staaten und Exekutivgewalt der Selbstverwaltung überlässt, würde ich nicht “Freiheit für alle”, sondern eher “nur der Stärkste überlebt” erwarten.

Also das ist etwas blauäugig gegenüber dem jetzigen System, wo genau das international der Fall ist: der Stärkste bestimmt. Daher kann es eigentlich nur besser werden wenn mal andere Ansätze ausprobiert werden.

Anarchismus ist auch nicht grundsätzlich gewaltfrei, Selbstverteidigung wird z.B. als durchaus legitim betrachtet. Das Problem ist ehr das bei den von dir oben genannten Beispielen unser jetziges System immer zuerst zur Gewalt oder Androhung davon greift (meist in Form der Polizei) und das im Kontrast dazu natürlich bei Alternativen meist über weniger gewalttätige Lösungsansätze nachgedacht wird.

Jein, auch wenn die Polizei nicht immer gleich losprügelt, steht die Androhung natürlich immer in Raum. Staatliches Gewaltmonopol usw. Wenn man das aufdröselt steht eigentlich immer bei jeder Interaktion mit dem Staat am ende die Androhung von Gewalt und Freiheitsentzug. Gleichzeitig sind die “zentral beschlossenen” Gesetze zum größten Teil entweder Offensichtlichkeiten die auch ohne zentralen Beschluss umgesetzt werden könnten, oder ganz platte Herrschaftsinstrumente um die Reichen oder den Staat selbst zu bevorteilen (und in Deutschland zu einem nicht unerheblichen Teil direkt aus dem Kaiserreich oder der Nazi Diktatur übernommen).

Aber wie gesagt, das heißt nicht das alles was so im Rahmen des derzeitigen Staats gemacht wird durch und durch schlecht ist oder in einer anarchistischen Gesellschaft nicht auch gemacht würde. Aber im Grunde ist der staatliche Machtapparat mit der immer unterschwellig angedrohten Gewalt genau diese Herrschaft der Stärksten. Anarchisten vergleichen den Staat gerne mit der größten Mafiaorganisation in einer Region… klar übernimmt die Mafia auch gewisse Sozialaufgaben und kümmert sich um die “Familie”, aber am ende geht es um Geld und Macht.

And Sony is still complaining about bad sales… I wonder if Microsoft will even bother with another console again. I guess they will pull a SEGA and just start selling games on other consoles.

That seems very unlikely as the Switch was incredibly successful and Nintendo has no reason to merge with anyone.

The only one of the three big console producers that is likely to change to a different model regarding hardware is Microsoft. Maybe they will not drop out entirely, but it is unlikely that they will try to compete again with a future PS6.

I think that CPU only supports up to 8GB RAM. Also the m2 is only for Wifi cards I think.

I have a somewhat similar ASUS board and it is quite ok otherwise, but don’t expect wonders from that CPU.

A bit annoying will be that you need to either use one of the four SATA ports for the system drive, or find some way to boot from the PCIe 1x port. The similar ASUS board that I have does not support booting from NVMe drives though, so even if you added an adapter for this it probably wouldn’t work (maybe if there is an BIOS update for it).

You could boot from a USB3 drive… not ideal but workable. Or add more SATA ports via an PCIe 1x extension card… but those might be hard to find, usually they require a longer (4x?) PCIe port.

P.S.: if you end up buying that board I can sell you 2x 4GB DDR3 SODIMMs that I have currently no use for :p

I wonder what happens if the cable that carries this much power breaks under water. And even if it doesn’t break the elecro-magnetic field around it is gonna be massive.

But anyway, other similar projects have either failed (plans to build such a giant solar-farm in Morocco) or have pivoted to “green” hydrogen as the energy transport medium.

The problem is that the so called privacy community is full of security LARPers that have no idea what their threat model is and in addition many snakeoil vendors trying to sell you (usually unnecessary or even counter-productive) VPNs etc.

So it’s understandable that people get tired of these grifters and stop bothering.

For longform blogs we host Movim (which is also a nice federated chat app for Jabber/XMPP) and in addition we have a Dokuwiki where community moderators can make a dedicated wiki. Both are integrated with our Lemmy instance here, so you can just use your existing account user and password to log in.

Yes, for example there is /c/balconygardening here on the SLRPNK Lemmy and all the moderators of that community with an SLRPNK account can also edit the community specific wiki over here: wiki.slrpnk.net/balconygardening:start

These permisions are automatic and you can create as many wiki pages as you like under the specific wiki namespace.

Edit: Let me see if there is a nice QR code externsion for Dokuwiki that I can add. Edit: Ah: if you click on the menu and select “Export as PDF” the resulting PDF also includes a QR code to the page already.

Edit2: after reading your post again: yes you can of course also just link to external already existing website in a new Lemmy community that you create here.

Fedora KDE spin is a nice relative beginner friendly distro. But it doesn’t really matter which one you use.

The main issue with dual booting is the initial setup and preventing Windows from messing up the Linux boot loader.

You can either install it on the same drive with different partitions and use the Linux boot loader to select the system to boot, or you can install it on a separate drive and use the boot override function of your mainboard to switch. The latter is a bit easier to setup and with no risk of Windows overwriting the Linux bootloader, but not all mainboards allow easy switching.

They are a bit slow with releases, but Dino is under active development.

I guess for now this shouldn’t be a big problem and the next release will fix that for sure.

No one in their right mind goes out and stabs their flatmate and a random 70 year old passerby, not even a wanna be terrorist. The deeply racist UK juridical system is not a good reference for deciding this.

And I am not here to do research for you, but if you spend even 5 minutes googling you will easily find that right-wing politically movitated violent crime easily dwarfs those figures (despite systematic under reporting of those by the police).

And while you are at it, look up domestic violence figures which are also orders of magnitude higher, even if you just count the ones with deaths or serious injuries.
