People get addicted to delivery apps cause it lets you pretend you're on vacation all the time

it feels similar in egregious price to getting room service, and you don’t even have to talk to the guy, and you can convince yourself it’s nice to treat yourself you’ve been working hard etc etc. you don’t have to do any dishes or think about all the rotten shit in the fridge. it can feel like a legitimate mental break,...

pro_grammer,

yeah my pockets don’t get addicted to that xD

pro_grammer,

pro_grammer,

So that they don’t have to pay bonuses and make them work 44 instead of 40 hours per week. IBM registered itself (in Brazil) as a sales company.

sales workers have a 44-hour workweek — four hours more than the limit for tech workers. The latter are also entitled to a higher minimum wage, overtime pay, and profit participation — a year-end bonus that depends on the company’s annual profit.

pro_grammer,

no, see my comment or edgemasters72’s (lol cool name) one:

pro_grammer,

with better perks I suppose.

Correct. When they are classified as tech workers, they get the following:

a higher minimum wage, overtime pay, and profit participation — a year-end bonus that depends on the company’s annual profit.

They also have to work 40 hours a week instead of 44 when they are classified as tech workers.

Because animating something that people already know might increase the chances of people clicking his article.

And in the end, people can animate and program whatever they want.

pro_grammer,

this will only increase the family bonding.

pro_grammer,

It all comes down to who succeedes Gabe after his stepping down.

pro_grammer,

none actually, I just noticed that some instances (lemmy.world I guess) allows images with a size up to 8MB, but usually they’re a few KBs

pro_grammer,

can I even type the word “Mario” anymore or will Nintendo come to kill me?

pro_grammer,

I think they act faster on those matters because, aside from being a very serious problem, they also have a conservative agenda.

Is very easy to say: “LOOK, WE ARE DOING THIS TO PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN FROM PEDOPHILES!!!”

But they can’t just go and say “let’s enforce gun safety on schools”, because having a conservative voter reading “gun safety” will already go bad for them.

They know they are sacrificing the well being of children by not acting on the school shootings, but for them is just the price of a few lives to stay in power.

pro_grammer,

They probably do this to satisfy voters who also don’t know how the internet works.
