one of the most wholesome things are friends that are "competitive" with each other that drive each other to build up more skill just to show off. it's really endearing and it helps keep people building skills. i remember i did this with a friend in regards to programming competitions, just trying to get that extra edge over and it wasn't like "you lose haha" it was a casual thing that bettered both of our skills

@ashten go to settings, language and you'll notice some weird things such as "English 1k, English 10k". I think it was set to English 10k but those settings have been reset.

@ashten you can also enable punctuation to drive you mad, with numbers. there's quotes and a ton of other settings to play with to practice. there's a reason i love this site lol

@ashten https://typing-speed-test.aoeu.eu/ my old favorite was this dvorak based one but once i saw how configurable monkeytype was... yea i switched over to using monkeytype for benchmarks. not to mention the themes and other customization you can do to accommodate such as reading word by word (line by line) and so on for dyslexia and other things that make it hard for neurodivergent individuals to do these sort of typing tests.
