    Spent a solid 30 minutes figuring out why Google Gemini would not let me generate an API key.

    Front page news in our local paper is a long-running argument about who moderates the local email list.

    My solution to the spam problem has been to use the server's ability to block all posts mentioning a specific string, in this case the domain that's in all the posts.

    @cyberlyra Spammers have been programmatically joining any small instance with open signups and then spamming @-replies to (I think) anybody with more than X followers. My mentions are a mess.

    @harris @joehill Also the spam comes from accounts on other instances, there's not a lot I can do as an admin of this instance other than suspend them as they happen, which is very time-consuming.
