It could get delisted in the future if there were any licensing deals, although that can happen for any game. If you already own it on Steam you’ll be able to keep downloading and playing it indefinitely.
Carbon prices and other incentives and disincentives can help accelerate this, and renewable tech and green(er) manufacturing will play into this too. I suspect (and hope) the decline in oil usage will happen well before we run low on it.
There’s a trend towards lower speed limits in cities all over the world, but why is this happening? What is the research behind it? And what is the “correct” speed limit for cities, anyway?
This would be restricted to city streets. If you want more speed, use the highways or bypass roads that (ideally) aren’t anywhere near residential or city areas.
And the additional speed actually slows things down on congested roads, because you need more traffic lights (among other reasons).

They want their base to try and overthrow the government again if Trump loses. Claiming the result is going to be rigged constantly will make these people more willing to do that if the time comes. Their supporters don’t actually care if the media calls them out on it because they have a pathological victim complex, and Trump and the Republican party being criticised plays into that. And they don’t care about democracy anyway, they just want their guy to become an authoritarian king that will punish their perceived enemies.

Apparently, he was disappointed about how trashy the J6 seditionists looked. Although I somehow doubt he would have helped even if they looked “classier” given his history with not paying his debts.
During the last ‘election summer’ things went haywire but ultimately nothing meaningful really happened, and not a whole lot really changed as a result of that unrest. First one, then the other. Keep semi-regular contact, but don’t spend every waking moment on the news or social media, as you aren’t gaining much additional actionable information that way.
LOL at the slogan of “Stop the Boats”. Literally copied from the Australian Liberal (conservative) party’s anti-asylum seeker scaremongering catchphrase. Conservatives really lack originality.
Another issue is that most of us simply won’t be around to experience the consequences
I think most people middle-aged or younger will experience the consequences (in fact, we already are with the increased frequency of severe weather events) it’s just that those consequences will get worse over time.
Probably cheaper to just install standard heat pumps backed by renewable energy, but an interesting idea nevertheless. And the video is filled with Simpsons references which is always a bonus.
Fixing transport infrastructure would have the most impact. Narrower roads with fewer lanes and more complexity, 20mph/30kmph speed limits, better designed pedestrian crossings, and separated bike and pedestrian infrastructure. And requiring the vehicles themselves to be designed such that they are not just safe for the occupants, but safe for other vehicles and people too (which means lower hood heights and lower weight).
And in general, providing viable alternatives to driving so there are less vehicles on the road, making it safer to walk and bike.
Serious about him being better than the current crop on this very specific issue? Yes. Other than that, he’s a piece of trash and a hack of a politician, so I don’t disagree with you on that point.
Although frankly I’d be happy if conservatism was buried altogether, and not just “populist” conservatism. Both forms are incredibly harmful to the poor and the disadvantaged in general.
