rasterweb, to Anbernic

If just a week ago you had said:

"Hey Pete, you're gonna play a game called ”Grimace's Birthday” on a handheld console next week!"

I would have assumed you were completely drunk or just making shit up.

But I installed it on the Anbernic RG53XX I got a few days ago and played it today. Wild!

Welcome rasterweb! Looking forward to hearing about your retro-gaming journey.

Are you planning to install custom firmware on your RG35XX? Which games are you most looking forward to playing?

Welcome sapient_noodles! I'm sure your device is going to be a lot of fun.

May all your noodles be sentient. ;-)

Hmm, that's a tough one. In fact, I'm going to cheat a little and give you a compound answer: Miyoo Mini, Mini Plus, and Anbernic RG35XX. I like them all for the same reasons. They're so convenient & portable, and the custom firmware experience is top notch. I'm also a big fan of the Anbernic RG503. I love the OLED screen and the ergonomics.

Is the RG35XX your first?

Yeah, there's not much between them. The RG35XX is easier to get hold of. I do prefer the fact that we can see the source code for OnionOS (for the Miyoo devices), but GarlicOS still looks like a great experience.
