I somehow missed this one yesterday, but I'm staying optimistic. For those who don't know, it's directed by the same director as Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo!
not too sure how I feel about the animation style. it’s hard to explain but it gives me “Netflix anime” vibes. Kinda surprised that’s MAPPA after seeing that trailer
It definitely looks a little rough at times during this trailer... Not terrible exactly, just a little janky.
I'm still going to hold out hope. I would love nothing more than to see Watanabe come back and make something new that even approaches the level of storytelling we got out of Bebop and Champloo.
