Drag Race Brazil [S01E11 - Gran Finale] Post-episode discussion thread
The time has come to find out who will become the first Brazilian Drag Superstar. The queens compete in their final challenge, by staring in a music video for Grag Queen's hit “Party Everyday.” Special appearance by pit crew member Bruno Alcantara!
I had no idea Bruno was Brazilian. It was so fun to see him there.
The finale was very emotional. Maybe a little too much. At some point I felt they were just milking the queens for tears, but at the same time it was important for them to see her families, and the messages they sent to their younger selves are really messages for the younger viewers, so in that sense both were important. All the queens killed it in the main challenge. On the runway my favorite was Betina and Organzza. I didn't quite get Miranda's runway, and is it me or did the hair cutting didn't work in the lipsync?
Hellena's reveals were amazing in the last lipsync. If it had been a live lipsync this might have been a Sasha Velour moment, but I get the impression it was already decided for Organzza to win (although I assume they filmed all queens winning).
Overall, an iconic season! Can't wait for the second one :D
It was so nice to hear Bruno speak in Portuguese. Love that they got him in the finale.
I’m kinda over lip sync finales tbh. I’m not even sure if they count in picking the winner. Individual performances like in s8 and s14 were so much more fun to watch.
That said, to me this final lip sync was between Hellena and Organzza. Miranda was doing god knows what and Bettina was just vibing. I didn’t like Hellena’s finale look that much, although she did have several ruveals underneath, while Bettina and Organzza looked stunning.
This win was well deserved. I think Organzza stood out consistently. Overall a successful season and I look forward to s2.
I agree that the final lipsync was between Organzza and Helena. At the same time, it kind of sucks when you have 4 finalist and only allow two to lipsync. I have mixed feelings about these season finale lipsyncs. I agree with you, but I will never forget season 9's final lipsync
