Maybe one of my favorite religious episodes of all time but definitely my least favorite Star Wars episode.

It is a testament to the power of the original franchise and the polymorphic genius of marketing that this franchise survived that movie.

@berz Jar Jar Binks should have singlehandedly killed the franchise, but I'm glad that better art has been produced in the Star Wars Universe since then for people to enjoy.

I'm not sure I agree it's the worst movie, though. Since none of the events of Episode I seem to affect the later movies at all, you can safely ignore it.

Episode II had canonical effects, and it still had Jar Jar Binks. Personally, I was game to see another prequel after watching 1, but after 2 I refused to see III.
