A group for photographers, collectors, hobbyists and enthusiasts interested in Minolta film (& digital) cameras and photography. We aim to aggregate and link information from the various Minolta communities around, in one federated spot!

Rules

1. Posts have to be related to the Minolta Camera Company and Minolta Photography

This is a place for Minolta related stuff, so if it isn't about Minolta photography, it doesn't go here!

Discussions regarding Minolta, Konica-Minolta and other brands are fine (e.g. "Vivatar lenses on my Minolta?","Adapting Minolta lenses on my mirrorless?", "Minolta lenses vs Nikon lenses?")

Discussions regarding Konica Minolta Printers, the pre-2003 Konica Company, and the post-2006 "Minolta Digital" cameras are not relevant and will be removed.

2. Photos must be of or by Minolta gear

Photos can be of Minolta gear, taken by Minolta gear, or scanned by Minolta gear.

Film and Digital Photos from adapted Minolta lenses used on other cameras, or other lenses used on a Minolta Film or Digital body is also allowed.

Posts regarding the post-2006 Minolta Digital Company photographic equipment will be removed.

3. Engage in Good Faith

It's fine to debate and politely disagree but keep in mind that 99% of the time there isn't malicious intent. So post, comment, question, or discuss in Good Faith. There's no call for insults, belittling, or harassment for any reason. The same applies to creepy and uncomfortable comments on photography subjects.

4. No Selling, Trading, or Advertising thereof

Selling and Trading gear/film, etc is difficult to moderate, because we can't guarantee buyer or seller protection leaving buyers and sellers at risk of scams.

If you want to Buy/Sell or Trade camera gear, go to a regulated and secure marketplace like E-Bay. Posts with links to such listings are prohibited, this is not a marketplace. Screenshots of a listing because it's silly or a rare camera are allowed, so long as you do not link to the lisitng directly.

Giveaways (i.e. The 'buyer' pays nothing, including shipping) are allowed, but under discretion of the Moderator. We cannot verify their authenticity, so accept a 'Gift' at your own risk!
