@funnelfiasco Strongly disagree — what are you supposed to add to a 100 win team without giving up existing young talent? In the playoffs, anything can happen and really good teams lose all the time.
@grmpyprogrammer a pitcher worth putting on the playoff roster would be better than what they did, which was get a pitcher who was bad at pitching. The O's have a stacked farm system, so they can afford to deal prospects.
Of course, their window is just opening, but it hurts to have the program's first 100-win season in my lifetime get absolutely pantsed in the division series.
@funnelfiasco Giving up anything for less than a superstar pitcher is a mistake too many teams make. You think the O’s should’ve give up multiple top prospects for Lance Lynn? Jordan Montgomery? Not worth it since the risk of going out in the first round is a coin flip for any team.
@funnelfiasco I was at the game last year where the Jays were up by 8 and lost. I watched them score 1 run in two games this year. Now the front office is tossing the manager under the bus because they forced a cute strategy on the manager. I have no sympathy for your favourite team losing. Try again next year and enjoy a great season they had this year.
