@zdl@The_Tim But it's generally the case that any take on territory is always based on some point in history which "people" declare as the starting point, ignoring everything preceding it.
In this case, it seems to be the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the British Mandate for the area in 1920, sometime after which Israel was established.
Again, not disputing that Israelis deserve their own state.
But also observing that this is literally a colonial project.
