I think this bit is wrong based on what we know and is in the summary above:
Jack Perry gets a real glass spot approved by AEW. Punk later oversteps and says no.
Its more accurate to say:
Jack agrees a spot for collision on dynamite to use real glass, it is approved on dynamite
Collision rolls round and spot is nixed, supposedly by Punk (how can he nix a spot unless he has been given the power to do so by Kahn?)
This is leaked to the sheets, first by Perry’s camp, then by Punks camp (this is obvious if you look at the slant from the two different reports as neither is neutral and each is biased to their respective camp)
Jack gets new spot approved (I hope it was approved, its not 100% clear that it was, just that they had a car) for All in to use glass Jack calls this out during the match
The “fight” happens backstage
Perry is booted from the stadium, Punk is not, Punk then has his match
Perry leaks this to the sheets again, this is obvious from the framing of the leak
Punk leaks his side to the sheets again, as above obvious from the framing
Both supposedly suspended pending an investigation
I think Perry referencing this shit during the PPV after what had already gone down on Collision is very unprofessional. Any other work environment that you publicly bad mouth another more senior coworker in front of the customer and you would be lucky to not be fired. I would be leaning to fire him for this myself as its not the first time hes been publicly running his mouth over this issue.
Regardless, whoever started the actual fight, if indeed it was an actual fight, should be fired, Punk or Perry. Tony was right there, he has no excuses on who did what here for the first punch
