Hello everyone! Welcome to /m/VisualNovels!

Here, we can talk in a SFW manner about Visual Novels. I'd like to clear up a few things in case they are ever brought up:

1. The SFW Rule is mainly because pornographic content is, quite frankly, hard to moderate when it comes to visual novels. Sometimes the ages tend to vary depending on which site you look at, making certain content illegal in different places.

2. The loli/shota rule is understandably potentially controversial. Some people consider the term to be a reference to character tropes, some people don't. However, because of the sexualization of the terms, as mod I'd appreciate it if you did your best not to discuss them. Thank you.

3. The mod doesn't plan on going on a giant speech about how you should not pirate VNs. However, to prevent the magazine from being taken down, it'd be appreciated if you don't directly link to pirated content.

I am also rather new to the entire experience of modding a community on a Lemmy instance, so if anyone would like to co mod with me, please let me know. I may make mistakes and I hope you'll not hold it against me.

At the end of the day, this mod simply wants everyone to have fun and enjoy a genre that is growing in popularity. No matter what type of VNs you enjoy, I hope we can all get along well.

P.S: If anyone has an idea for a icon for this community, please let me know! I think Bokuten might be a bit obscure as the face for it.
