In spite of being entirely willing to murder the Tollan in his early appearances (which likely would’ve gotten Dan Jackson killed in the crossfire, leaving Lya to pull a different kinda slap to Mayborne’s weak little “I’m in charge!..but also just following orders!” wrists), Harry had some pretty decent character growth, all selfishness considered, lol
Though he definitely didn’t deserve to have his guangos and eat them, too, he did get his ass handed to him in numerous ways, quite a few times, at the very least.
Works too with drugging an entire town into loving you. When the jig is up and everyone hates you, gate to another world, find a powerful artifact, use it to become a superhero God of a new town.
