Haha. I didn’t even realise. Jfc. Thank you.

Note: I must not do things before I have my morning coffee.

Tucker Time is what Tucker Carlson calls it when he goes to a special ranch to hunt humans for sport.

@CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone avatar

Oh dear. Tucker is an Aussie slang word for food. Considering I had to look up who Tucker Carlson is I don’t think many Aussies would know who he is either. I do appreciate you letting me know this though.

Oh no it was just a joke friend, I have no idea what he calls it when he does that

I got the joke 😂 and that one too 😂. It’s all good mate.

Love the Tucker time idea… helps me because daylight savings time has really knocked me about this year for some reason. We’re eating dinner now (the fortnightly steak and veg meal we have every second pay day) and it feels like around 6:30-7ish but if course it isn’t! We eat at all weird times during their holidays.

Thank you. I thought I’d broaden it a little to include all meals after someone posted their bread that looked scrumptious. Hopefully more people will include more ideas, recipes and pics.

I’ll try and make the post as early as I can so people can ask for ideas on what to cook.

Creamy pumpkin soup which my spoon almost yolo’d into when I was carrying it from the kitchen. Soup feels nice on my sore throat.

Microwave egg fried rice with extra egg, pork loin and an Asian salad.

I velveted the pork using the sear method and it was sensational. 5/5 yum yums.

tiredofsametab,

Not Australian, but just finished lunch: homemade cornbread and chili con carne (in this case, some porkchops in the freezer I needed to use up) with some kidney beans thrown in.

Welcome. Maybe you could share your cornbread recipe sometime.

tiredofsametab,

I live in the metric world now, but it's an old recipe in cups.

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

mix the above. To it, add

  • sugar to taste (I do about 1/4 or 1/3 cup, but the actual recipe listed 2/3)
  • 1tsp salt
  • 3.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour (I mostly use bread flour)

Optionally, you can toss in some sliced chilis as well.

Grease a metal baking dish (or cast iron pan, if you'd rather) and bake at 200c for 20ish minutes (23 is the sweet spot in my oven).

Leftover chicken “korma” and rice.

TinyBreak,

I’ve been searching a lot of food stuff on YouTube lately and the algorithm served me up this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojvrz-SA1JI&list=PLpeFZre…

Apple and oat pancakes. keen to give it a go.

They look alright. I’d add a tiny bit of cinnamon in there. Let’s know how you go.
