Because I now have a nifty unit at home, I run in a instance on it, so I can contribute copies of over , specifically @linuxmint @GIMP and @libreoffice, as well as @Raspberry_Pi OS.

However, one thing I'm lacking is any sort of notification as to when new versions are released, so i can update my server. I often forget to check for months.

Are there email notifications I can receive?

@gcvsa @linuxmint @libreoffice @Raspberry_Pi
For GIMP, you can click the small bell icon at the top on our Gitlab page, then choose "Custom" in the list: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp

It will open the "Custom notifications events" dialog. Make sure that "New release" is checked so that you get an email notification for every new release. (and uncheck other kinds of notifications if you don't want them)

@gcvsa @linuxmint @libreoffice Alternatively, for people who like RSS-like technologies, you can also subscribe to the Atom feed on tags: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/tags?format=atom

Unlike the previous method, it doesn't require you to subscribe to our Gitlab instance (though it's not email notification).

@gcvsa Cool! You can subscribe to LibreOffice's "announce" list for notifications about new major and minor releases: https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/
