For me, if I ever hear “card-based” or “soulslike” I have absolutely no desire to play a game, no matter how many people reccomend it....

Another week of some binding of Isaac for me, but with the semester almost over I’ve been focusing mainly on academics with little time for gaming

My first dedicated gaming system was the PS1, and in general I have no trouble going back to the sprites and chunky polygons of the mid-to-late 90s, whether on consoles or computers...

Now I’m not talking about bad as in completely soulless and creatively bankrupt games like Gollum or (insert zombie survival asset flip here) but more like the games that promised the world but missed their mark massively and became commercial failures....

I just find this funny. I was excited for DD2, but seeing the price, and the reviews, and the microtransactions, and the performance, and how they totally fucked it…I guess I’ll just buy Peggle Deluxe for 1/70th of the price instead....

But what I’m really upset about is that people aren’t communicating and cooperating and being respectful of each other and working together and being social and pushing back the alienation and playing and finding joy....

I’ve been trying to be helpful on the Helldivers sub. When people say "X is impossible and Y needs to be nerfed/buff I’d go earnestly say "okay this is how it works, and these are the tools you have, and here is how you can use those tools to solve the problem or succeed or overcome the situation....

Playing at home doesn’t count!

I bought a switch because I wanted to fit in with everyone else and play party games with friends (fuck family). I played Mario party and I had a good time, it was fun and the RNG was great I had never in my life played a game where it didn’t matter how well you did it could all fuck up at the end which happened MULTIPLE...

Valve index. Got a lightly used one for a great price....

and uninstalled immediately. Did all the faction quests + main storyline. None are worth playing. I almost regret pirating it at all. Thank you todd.
