That doesn’t make any sense for a game that calls itself tactics. And Yoshi is not responsible alone for FF16 being a action game, Final Fantasy games are action games since FFXIII-3 and SE already said, they believe, action games sell better than turn based. I think SE i wrong with that, but that’s for sure the future course of the Final Fantasy franchise.

I would buy it for sure. Do it Yoshi. Final fantasy got quite poor on the spinoff side (i don’t count mobile SE Spam)
