It needed much less thought than the cardigan / coat. Finding a nice stitch pattern and the right needle size were all the decisions necessary. The cardigan / coat for the moment is just an idea, based on a shawl, milling around in my head. So while trying to turn that idea into a more concrete plan I can make the cowl.
The pattern stitch looks complicated, but it actually is rather logical.
