unexposedhazard, Yeah it, does but from there it tells you to “open in app” but i havent had any google shit on my phone for years. And its not using the standardized geo format so it wont open in other map apps.
brbposting, Dark pattern - hit open, hit cancel if you do have GMaps installed, then redirects to the web version.
The shorter URL is easier to track users with shorter for UX reasons.
