In case you want any more proof Republicans are just manufacturing outrage for the sake of outrage.

“There may be others who would be a worse pick than U.S. Attorney Weiss to be special counsel, but based on the prosecution of Hunter Biden to date, he has got to be close to the worst pick. This is unbelievable.”
The lesson, of course, is that nothing will satisfy Republicans short of Garland appointing Trump himself to investigate Biden. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) whined in February about the Justice Department’s failure to appoint a special counsel, before Fox News reported on Friday that he’s among those upset that it actually did, claiming Weiss isn’t the right man for the job. Sen. Graham was pushing for Weiss to become a special counsel as recently as last month.
All they have is persecution complex and grievance.
Many people are wondering what exactly Margie Greene has on her laptop since she's so ffffn obsessed with them and showing harassing nudes of private citizens in Congress. I wonder if it's something prosecutable???
They know that there's nothing meaningful to find from such an investigation, they were just demanding it because of the implication and because they can keep pushing conspiracy claims.
But an actual investigation to reveal the nothing is terrible for Republicans, because it cuts short the made up things they've been claiming.
Hence, their only option now is to try and discredit the very thing (and person) that they've been calling for.
They went on endlessly about Benghazi. No amount of investigations will shut them up until they get bored and latch on to a new topic to beat to death. Same thing with the long form birth certificate from Obama. Finally producing it only brought claims of forgery and more conspiracy theories. The thoroughness of the investigation is irrelevant when the doubters aren’t seeking the truth to begin with.
