Help finding right moisturizer

Ok long and short of it. I have ADHD and no desire to have a ten step regimen. And even if I did I wouldn’t consistently keep up with it. I also work a job that involves me being outside in heat and cold and in an way that involves working with gross things so I get disgusting on a daily basis.

I have combo skin with my t zone being a gross ass oil pit. I currently wash with corsx low pH cleanser and love it. I don’t use toner (used to but havent seen a difference in using it verses not) and am trying to find a daily moisturizer.

I have tried Cetaphul in the green bottle. It was okay but I don’t love the feel of it and still felt dry in some places and oil in others

I have tried Aveeno for redness (I do have some redness and my mom has rosacea) and it feels nice but an hour or two after using my forehead feels very oily again

And I have tried Neutrogena Hydrogel and boy I love the feel but the product seems to not be very hydrating and I still end up with an oily forehead prior to work and getting sweaty.

What are some other options? The reviews on everything seem so mixed that I don’t know where to go from here.

Username,

Do you have a sunscreen that you still use over the moisturiser or are you hoping for a moisturiser with spf?

I have a sunscreen I use over the moisturizer for when I’m outside It’s a really high SPF but I have to be outside a lot and it’s very hard to reapply every 2 hours because that means stopping what I’m doing cleansing my hands and my face and reapplying… I usually manage reapplying every four

Username,

Ok great. Maybe a hat and UPF clothing would work better for you? I bought some innisfree serum and sunscreen when I was in Korea a few months back and I have really been enjoying their formulations so I just ordered the green tea seed moisturiser from them and it arrives tonight. I’ll let you know how it is. Their sunscreen is super light and watery and on more humid days in Florida I feel like the serum is plenty hydrating that I don’t even bother with a moisturiser and my skin feels great.

QualifiedKitten,

If you happen to have a Trader Joe's nearby, I've been liking their "Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer", although sometimes it feels a little too light for winter. I also sometimes use the CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizer, but that one can sometimes leave me feeling kinda greasy after a while. I'm traveling and using a different face wash at the moment, so I don't know how much of my issues with the CeraVe moisturizer are due to the face wash vs the climate, because I don't recall it ever feeling greasy back home, but I only started using it a few months ago.

JoMomma,

Wash with jojoba, moisture with Shae butter, that’s all.

O’keefes working hands are what I use. Doesn’t leave me all greasy, doesn’t have and smell I can notice and definitely helps with dry skin. I just use it on my whole body.

Edit thought I was on an ADHD sub and not skincare but I still think its worth a go. Also get the stuff in a tub they have some in squeeze tubes but its not as good.

Gold bonds diabetic lotion. I swear by the stuff. It’s thick as peanut butter, but leave it on for a bit, wipe off any excess. I have incredibly dry skin on my hands that will crack and bleed if I don’t moisturize, and I went from using lotion 10-15, sometimes more, times per day, to applying morning and night and being okay on most days. I also use the Walmart knock off brand and haven’t seen a difference.

Uwu_im_toxic,

I’ve found really good luck with CeraVe (but not the one with sunscreen in it, I use a separate sunscreen product) and Vanicream moisturizers. I used to use aveeno, but like you said, my face would feel oily a while after using it.

EdanGrey,

I second cerave, particularly for sensitive skin and rosacea

actionjbone,

Coloplast Sween.

I tried so many lotions before I found Sween. Now I don’t use anything else.
