Be sure to hoover your basement first, tell your pets that they can look but not touch, and if you get any fingerprints on the platter, be sure to wipe them off with a damp rag. Then this should be fine 👍

Well… that’s the weirdest Class 4 clean room I’ve ever seen. I’m sure the drive will work just fine after that

what? a cd drive? oh-ohhh… oh no…

cr3w,

don’t listen to the other comments, as long as you clean the surface with a microfibre cloth, you’re fine. be sure to give it a good rub. since i see such a cloth on your workbench, you’re fine

LemmyFeed,

It’s better to use a magnet. That way you can clean it without contact.

cr3w,

great idea! but i still recommend a cloth to wipe the dust particles

baconisaveg,

And toothpaste will help get rid of any scratches.

CouncilOfFriends,

They let out the magic smoke. It was probably a slow leak they couldn’t see, but it’s gone.

the_beber,

No, this is a botched open heart surgery.

DaPorkchop_,

Yes, your data has been transferred to the great hard drive in the sky.

Umm, maybe but not with that equipment/environment…

tallwookie,

this kills the data

Honytawk,

Nah, it doesn’t.

The data is killed once the drive is used, lol.
